Period

I had just arrived back from the store carrying all sorts of different foods in bags. I brought them all to Emma and I's bedroom, where Emma was sat in bed, reading a book.

"Hey. I got the stuff you wanted." I said as I placed the bags down next to her. "Thank you." She whispered as she took her attention off of the book and switched it to me.

"Do you need anything else?" I said, cautiously. Emma is on her period, and hormones and stuff cause her to snap easily.

"No, I'm okay. Just come sit with me? Please?" she asked as she patted the spot next to her on the bed. I nodded my head and took my shoes off. I climbed in bed next to her and she snuggled up into me. Once she was comfortable, she opened her book back up and continued reading.

After a little bit, her eyes fluttered shut and she fell asleep. I picked the book up and marked her page, putting in on my bedside table. As I was putting it down, she snuggled up closer to me, as if she thought I was leaving. I turned back towards her and she smiled in her sleep. I turned off the lights and fell into a similar slumber.

When I woke up, Emma was still cuddled up into me. She hadn't woken up yet. I stayed in this position with her until she woke up again. "Hi (Y/N) ...do you still have the food I asked for?" she asked as she woke up. "Yeah, it's in that bag over there" I said as I pointed to the bag on her bedside table. She sat up and took some strawberries out of the bag and ate a few, before offering me one. I declined her offer and let her eat. Once she was done, she cuddled back into me and I read her book to her before falling asleep again.
