Emma and I were on the red carpet at the Oscars. We posed for pictures together and then I noticed Emma's grip on my hand got a whole lot tighter. I looked at her to find her death glaring Jenifer Aniston, my ex-girlfriend. "Em don't worry. We won't have to see her." I said to her, hoping she would calm down a bit.
"Yeah. You're right. Let's go inside now." Emma said, her hand still connected to mine. We walked inside and sat down at our table, to find Jenifer was also supposed to sit at this table. "I thought you said we weren't going to see her." Emma said, looking warily at the nametag. I looked at her and kissed her lips. She melted into the kiss and her hands went to the back of my neck, playing with the baby hairs on it and I could hear soft moans coming from her.
She had realized something I did not, Jenifer was there. She had kept going to make Jenifer jealous of our relationship. When we pulled away, Jenifer looked at us awkwardly. We had ended on good terms; our relationship just hadn't worked out and we both decided to break up and move on. I gave her a friendly nod, her returning the gesture.
Emma connected our hands again, making sure they were visible for Jenifer to see. Emma kissed my cheek, forehead, and my lips again and sat on my lap. I wrapped my arms around her waist, making sure she wouldn't fall. I knew what she was doing, but I let her keep doing it because it was cute.
Soon enough she sat in her own seat and we ended up having a conversation with everyone at our table. Emma only talked to Jenifer when she found it absolutely necessary, and when she did talk to her it wasn't more than a few words. Emma had scooted her chair closer to mine and leaned her head on my shoulder and wrapped her arms around me. I kissed the top of her head, assuring her that she didn't need to be jealous. She kissed my neck, her lipstick leaving a faint red outline on my neck.
Let's face it, she was super jealous of me talking with Jenifer. I had told her we both ended on good terms and she had nothing to worry about, but jealousy is a normal feeling, especially when your boyfriend is talking to his ex-girlfriend right in front of you. At one point, Emma had to go to the bathroom and wanted me to go with her, probably not wanting me to be with Jenifer without her. I assured her everything would be fine and after a lot of convincing, she had left. "I'll be right back (Y/n). Love you!" Emma said, while discreetly looking at Jenifer to see her reaction before leaving.
Once she left, I looked over at Jenifer, feeling her eyes on me, and she started talking. "You know (Y/n) I think Emma's great for you. You two are definitely in love. I'm happy for you. You two are a cute couple. Way better than we ever were." Jenifer said to me. "Thank you. I'm sorry we didn't work out, but I think we both are better off not being together. It just didn't work. It is nice to see you though." I said honestly. We both kept talking to each other and soon enough Emma had returned.
She sat down and kissed me deeply as a hello. "What did I miss?" She asked me, glancing over at Jenifer. "Oh, nothing much. Jenifer was just telling me about her new boyfriend." I said as I put my arm around Emma's shoulder. She happily leaned into my side, burying her head into me. The rest of the night Emma had been less jealous, considering Jenifer has a boyfriend and she wouldn't have to worry about her trying to steal me away. Although, she was still very affectionate, making the point known that I was taken. Overall, it was a great night.
(Jenifer Aniston is my second celebrity crush so I had to give her an honorable mention)
