"Whatever you do (Y/n), do not let him drink too much apple juice. It gets him hyper." Emma warned him before leaving the house. "I won't! I know how to take care of our child. You'll be late to your meeting if you stay here any longer. Michael and I will be fine." (Y/n) assured, and Emma nodded. "Okay bye (Y/n). Bye Michael! I'll be back soon! Love you!" Emma called. "Bye mummy!" Michael yelled, and Emma left the house.
Michael was still sitting on the couch, his toy cars in hand. The father and son played with the cars for about forty-five minutes. Since it was around lunchtime, (Y/n) started to make some sandwiches for the both of them. He got out two glasses and poured some apple juice into them before putting everything on the table. Both of them ate, Michael drinking all of his juice and some of (Y/n)'s without him knowing, before a burst of energy came over the boy. He got a few more of his toys out, before playing with them and running all over the house. (Y/n) had now realized he must have given Michael way too much apple juice, exactly what Emma told him not to do. He didn't remember pouring too much, but he must have since Michael was so hyper.
"Michael! Let's go outside." (Y/n) told him, hoping he could just run off all the energy he had. Once they got outside, Michael ran around for a bit, (Y/n) struggling to keep up. "Dad! Hurry up!" Michael yelled, running back inside. "Michael, don't make a mess!" (Y/n) told him, walking inside and locking the door. When he looked into the living room, the couch cushions were on the floor, and numerous blankets, pillows, and various toys were all on the floor as well. Michael had started to build a fort, but it didn't go very well. "Come help!" Michael told his father, seeing him walk into the house.
The fort was a bit unsteady, and the minute (Y/n) touched it, the whole thing collapsed. "You broke it!" Michael groaned, getting up and starting to rebuild it. At this point, (Y/n) was hoping for a sugar crash to happen soon. "Boys! I'm home!" Emma called out, the door opening and closing. "Mummy! Come help!" Michael yelled, running over to her and pulling her to the fort. "Oh wow." Emma muttered, seeing all the cushions, blankets, pillows and toys all scattered on the living room floor. It looked like a hurricane came through the room, and Emma immediately knew what had happened.
Emma started to help, and they had managed to make a nice fort. "Okay Michael, now you have to take a nap in the fort." Emma told him, ushering him inside and covering him in blankets. "But I'm not tired..." Michael complained, a yawn escaping his lips. Emma just kissed his forehead and placed his favorite blanket over him before he was out like a light. Emma got out of the fort, making sure Michael didn't wake up, before going over to (Y/n).
"So...what were you saying about knowing how to take care of our own child?" Emma questioned. "Okay, I only poured him a bit." (Y/n) defended. "And how big was that cup? It was most definitely not one of Michael's normal cups we have." She looked in the sink to see some of the dishes, and two large cups that were used during lunch were sitting there. "I gave him those." (Y/n) told her, pointing to the ones she was looking at. "Those are huge! What were you thinking?! Do you just never listen to me?" Emma asked, expecting an answer. "I don't know. I filled it halfway." (Y/n) told her, earning a confused look from his wife. "Did you drink yours as well?" She asked. "I had a bit, I looked away for a second and then more of it was gone but I didn't really question it." (Y/n) shrugged, and Emma put the pieces together. "He drank yours too. Next time, just make sure you keep your drink to yourself." Emma advised, going over to the fort and sitting with Michael, soon falling asleep next to him. (Y/n) ended up joining his family in the fort, and they all slept in the living room, taking a quick nap.
