Emma was running around the house, frantically searching for something. I walked out of our bedroom and saw her tearing the house apart. "What are you looking for?" I asked as she ran past me.

"My speech! The show is in 2 hours and I need to prepare! Where did you put it?! After we went over it yesterday!" She said, not looking at me. "I didn't have it. I gave it back to you when we were done." I said, confused on why she thought I had it.

"No, you didn't! You had it! (Y/n) (L/n) where did you put it! I swear to god if you lost it!" she said turning to me with a look of pure anger. "I don't have it! I never did! I gave it to you when we were done yesterday!" I said, getting slightly angry she wouldn't believe me.

"(Y/n)! You lost my speech! You knew this was important! You had to mess this up?! You always have to mess everything up don't you?!" She shouted. I stood there, open mouthed, dumbfounded that she would say that.

"Forget it! I can try to make a new one on the way there!" she said as she left to go to the show. "I told you I don't have it. I hope you find it before the show. Good luck tonight. I love you." I said in a shaky voice, before she slammed the door.

I sat down on the kitchen counter, covering my face with my hands. I sat there for a few minutes, before getting up and grabbing my keys. I couldn't stay here, not now at least. I got in my car and drove; I don't know where I was going but I'm sure I'll find something.

I ended up stopping by a cliffside, overlooking a lake. I got out of the car and just sat on the front of it, thinking. I don't know how long I was there, but my thoughts were broken by my phone ringing.

I looked at the caller ID to see it was Emma. I just let the phone keep ringing, not ready to talk to her yet. A few minutes later, she called again. I figured it would be best to answer her, she might be worried considering I wasn't home.

"What?" I said as I answered the phone. "Where are you? You didn't answer the first time and I'm worried about you." she said. "Why?" I asked, slightly irritated but confused on why she was acting so nice. She had just yelled at me before, why was she acting so concerned.

"Just please come home. I need to talk to you." She said, her voice breaking through the phone. I could tell she felt sorry for what had happened. "Yeah, okay. I'll be back soon." I said, feeling slightly guilty about worrying her.

I got in the car and drove back home. When I had arrived, I was met with Emma sitting at the kitchen counter, her face tear stained with white flashcards next to her. "Hey. You wanted to talk?" I said, as I entered the room.

She looked up at me and got up and hugged me. "I'm so sorry for saying those things. You don't mess everything up, not at all. I was stressed and I should've listened to you when you said you didn't have it. The speech was in my car. I should've listened to you, even when you were being so nice about it. When you didn't answer I had thought something bad had happened to you and I felt so bad and thought that you might've been dead, and you died thinking I hated you." She said, tears coming down her face again.

I wiped her tears off her cheeks and kissed her softly. She kissed back and I pulled away slightly. "I forgive you. I know you were stressed and didn't mean those things. I only left cause I just needed fresh air." I said as she pulled me back into another hug. "I love you (Y/n). So, so much." She said as we pulled out a hug. "I love you too Emma."
