I was in the living room reading one of Emma's feminist books. She wasn't going to be home for another few hours and I didn't want her to know I was reading these. It takes me way longer to read and understand them than Emma, since I have adhd things like that take longer. She's very good at reading and understanding these things and I'm not as good.

I thought it would be nice to learn about feminism and stuff though, so I picked up one of her books about it a few weeks ago and I've been reading them ever since. I was currently trying to understand one part of the book and was so concentrated, I didn't hear Emma walk in.

"What are you doing?" She asked once she saw me lying on the couch. I hid the book from her view. "Oh, nothing. What's up? Your back early." I said as I tried my hardest to act normal. "We finished scenes early. What's that book your reading?" she asked, glancing to where I hid the book.

"It's nothing. Why do you ask?" I said, moving the book from her. "Just curious. Why can't you tell me?" she asked as she went to go grab the book. I tried to move it away, but she was too fast and grabbed it.

"I know this book. This is one of my feminist books!" she said as she observed the cover. "Why were you so secretive about it?"

"I don't know. I've been reading it for the past week. But it's hard to read, I didn't want you to make fun of me for taking so long. I know you can read these in like a day." I explained, avoiding her gaze.

"I wouldn't make fun of you for it. I know how hard it is for you. I'm glad you're learning about it though! Now we can have feminist talks! She said excitedly as she hugged me. "And If you need help, I can always explain things to you. Now, what part are you on?"
