For someone with two famous parents, Michael was not used to the paparazzi. He had some experiences with them, but not too many compared to his parents. They scared him. Michael was quieter and more reserved around people he didn't know, with his family and friends he was the total opposite, so having a bunch of cameras flashing at him and being in the spotlight scared the living daylights out of him.
His parents were helpful and normally were able to avoid the cameras or make sure pictures weren't being taken of him. He's sixteen, he loves being in pictures when he looks good and knows who was taking and receiving them, but he hates the paparazzi. Today was no different. (Y/n), Emma, and Michael had just arrived in London from America for the Christmas and new year's holidays.
They were getting ready to leave the airport to go to their London house before they see all of their extended family. Michael wasn't dressed up at all, just a hoodie and sweatpants with his new shoes. His parents were a bit more professional, but he didn't expect to be mobbed by paparazzi. (Y/n) and Emma had kind of expected it, since they always get spotted at airports.
Once everyone got their bags, they had other people carry them out to the car. Michael was on his phone checking his social media and answering snapchats since he had gone on a long flight without it and didn't notice his parents tense up. Michael took out his Airpods and looked up to see his parents looking at him warily. "What?" Michael asked, seeing their looks. He glanced over to see the paparazzi and grew nervous, his anxiety taking over. "Don't worry, everything will be fine. Just breathe baby, okay? We're both here, nothing's going to happen. We'll be here the whole time." Emma reassured while rubbing his arm, Michael nodding. "Put your hood up and take these. It'll cover your face." (Y/n) instructed, handing his son a pair of sunglasses. Michael did as his father said and took his backpack off to move his hood up and slid the sunglasses on after, covering his face.
"Ready? We don't have to go if you're not ready." (Y/n) asked, Michael only giving a single nod while putting his backpack back on, signaling he was ready. Michael stuck his phone and Airpods in his sweatpants pocket and the three walked out of the airport, Emma placing her hand on Michael's shoulder for comfort.
They walked outside to be met with many different cameras and people shouting. (Y/n) was focused on clearing the way for Emma and Michael, while Emma was whispering words of comfort to her son, keeping him close to her. The family managed to get through the crowd with the help of a few guards and got in the car quickly, (Y/n) in the front seat next to the driver, Emma and Michael in the back.
Once the doors closed and the car drove away, Michael took off his hood and sunglasses, handing the sunglasses to his father. "Are you alright?" (Y/n) asked, taking the sunglasses. "Yeah. All good. Thanks." Michael mumbled, checking his watch, and letting out the breath he didn't realize he was holding. Emma pulled him into a side hug. "You were very brave out there. Good job." She praised, Michael smiling. He hugged his mother before going on his phone and texting his friends, most likely about sports. They drove to their London house, getting settled in before the hectic holiday with Emma and (Y/n)'s families started.
