Emma was sat in her white dress, her hair done up nicely, across from her two cousins. She was sat with her cousins on her dad's side, Heather, and Grace, with the rest of her family in different seats at the hotel restaurant table. Her and her cousins had never gotten along, they both were judgmental and rude to everyone. The rest of her extended family was nice, it was just those two. After spending all day with them, she was getting to her breaking point. She looked at the empty seat next to her, hoping her fiancé (Y/n) would get here soon. He was in a business meeting for the hotel, he owned the one they were staying at for Emma's family reunion. Her parents had met him before, and they knew he owned the place, which is why they specifically booked rooms here.

"Emma...do you really have a boyfriend? I mean, wouldn't he have been here by now? We've been here all day and he hasn't showed up yet. I get that you're like famous, but you don't need to lie to us and your fans about him when he's not real." Heather asked, a fake sweet tone in her voice. "I actually do have a boyfriend, in fact he's my fiancé. He's currently in a business meeting. He's been quite busy today. He is joining us for dinner though, and he'll be here for the next few days as well. He's very much real, there are pictures of us everywhere on the internet thanks to the paparazzi." Emma answered, looking at her watch.

(Y/n) was about five minutes late, and she wanted him to get here as soon as possible. She wanted to shove the fact she was dating (Y/n) (L/n) to Heather and Grace. As the two cousins kept teasing her, Emma waited for her fiancé to show. She figured his meeting ran late, which he couldn't control in the slightest. Soon enough, someone slipped into the chair next to Emma. She turned to see it was her fiancé, still in his work clothes which were slightly fancier than what everyone else had on and started talking.

"Sorry I'm late darling, my meeting went overtime." (Y/n) explained, as Heather and Grace looked at the two warily. "It's fine love, don't worry. You're here now is all that matters." Emma assured, connecting their lips together. "How much do you think she paid this random guy to do this?" Grace whispered to Heather, both of the two in shock watching the two lovers kiss. "How are the rooms?" (Y/n) asked Emma once they disconnected their lips. "They're great. Mum and Dad still haven't gotten theirs yet, they said it wasn't ready. But it's really beautiful." Emma explained, as (Y/n) took out his phone.

"I'll tell them to work on it. Mr. and Mrs. Watson what room number are you?" (Y/n) asked, as Mrs. Watson answered, "954, why do you ask?" (Y/n) texted an employee on his phone, before returning his attention to the group. "Your room will be ready in ten minutes. Hopefully, you like it." (Y/n) told Emma's parents, Heather speaking up next. "And how exactly did you get that fixed so fast?" Heather asked, an obnoxious tone prominent. "I own the hotel. (Y/n) (L/n) nice to meet you." (Y/n) stated, as the two cousins mouths dropped.

"You're (Y/n) (L/n)?! Are you really Emma's fiancé? There's no way! You'd be much better off with one of us." Grace exclaimed, moving her hair to one side, hoping to win (Y/n) over. "Yes, Emma's my fiancé. So I recommend you don't even try anything because it most certainly won't work." (Y/n) said, turning his attention back to Emma and shutting down the cousins. "So how was your day darling? Enjoying the hotel?" (Y/n) asked his fiancé. "It was great. The pool's really nice. Everyone's really happy you could come, especially my brother. Are you busy tomorrow? We could sit by the pool together or spend time together somewhere else." Emma explained and asking another question, as (Y/n) wrapped an arm around her shoulder.

"I have another meeting tomorrow morning for the Lava Springs country club about a few policy changes until noon. Mostly signing the paperwork for them, since they need the owner of the club's approval before they do anything, it shouldn't go late, if it does I'll reschedule the rest for another day. After that, I'm all yours for the rest of the day. We can do whatever you would like to." (Y/n) answered and kissed her cheek, as Grace and Heather were trying to gather words to say. The rest of the dinner went smoothly, (Y/n) striking up conversation with Emma and her family, while Grace and Heather didn't talk for the rest of the night.
