(Y/n), Emma, and Michael were all on a vacation for a few days, since they all needed a break. They had gone to a house on the lake, secluded from most people, since they were famous and everything. The house also happened to have a boat and two fishing poles. One adult fishing pole, and one kids fishing pole with Spider-Man on it.

Michael and (Y/n) decided to go fishing, while Emma read her book outside. After Emma put lots of sunscreen all over Michael, and put a hat on his head for extra protection, The two hopped on the boat, and (Y/n) started it up, and Michael waved to his mother as they left, her smiling at the two and going back to her book .

After they sailed a bit farther away from the house, they got all their fishing stuff set up. (Y/n) attached the bait to the poles, and Michael set his in the water.

"Okay, remember you have to be very quiet Michael. If you aren't quiet they won't come over here and take the bait." (Y/n) told his son, who nodded at his words. Michael peered down into the water, looking to see if any fish had come over yet.

"I see some! They're here! Look!" Michael called out to his dad, as (Y/n) walked over to where he was. He peered over the edge of the boat, seeing the fish crowd around Michael's fishing pole, examining the bait to see if they wanted it.

"Okay Michael, you have to be very still and very quiet." (Y/n) instructed, and Michael nodded eagerly. He went back to his pole, leaving Michael on his side of the boat.

As Michael waited patiently, (Y/n) felt a sudden tug on his pole and he fell right into the water. He hit the water with a large splash, and all the fish over by Michael swam away quickly.

"Dad! You scared them! Now they left!" Michael shouted, as (Y/n) climbed back onto the boat. Michael went over and tried to help his dad onto the boat, and (Y/n) tried to dry off as best as he could.

After Michael couldn't pull his dad onto the boat, since he was only five and his dad was way too heavy for him, he brought (Y/n) his favorite towel to dry off with.

They decided to go back to the house, and (Y/n) drove the boat back, as Michael sat on his lap, steering the boat when needed. When they arrived back, Michael hopped off the bot and ran up to the house, probably going to tell Emma the entire story of how his dad fell into the lake.

"Mummy! Guess what! Dad fell into the lake!" Michael yelled, as he ran over to where his mother was sat.

"Really? Did he catch any fish?" Emma asked, taking off her sons hat and ruffling his hair a bit before checking to see if he had a sunburn.

"Nope. He scared them all away! He told me to be very quiet or else the fishes wouldn't come over to me so I did and then he fell in the lake and they all swimmed away from us." Michael explained the story, as he was sat in his mother's lap, both the mother and son duo seeing (Y/n) get off the boat, all soaking wet and trying to wring out his shirt.

"See? Look! He got all wet!" Michael showed her while giggling, as Emma nodded.

"He did. You were right, he is all soaking wet. Did you give him your towel?" Emma agreed with her son, as he nodded and waved and to his father.

"Yeah. I gave him my favorite one! The one with Mickey Mouse on it." Michael explained, as Emma nodded her head seeing the towel draped on (Y/n).

"That was very nice of you Michael. You were very kind to him." Emma praised, as (Y/n) approached the two.

"So, that didn't go very well." (Y/n) announced, as Emma nodded and stifled a laugh at her husband's state.

"I can tell. It was quite the story from what Michael told me." Emma mentioned, as Michael nodded.

"Yeah! You fell into the lake and scared all the fishes away. There was like five hundred thousand there! And he scared them all away! Can we go back later?" Michael asked (Y/n) and Emma after telling his story, both nodding their head.

"And you have to come with us this time! Please? It'll be fun! And you can catch some fishes too! You can use my Spider-Man pole!" Michael told his mother, who nodded in agreement and kissed his forehead.

After a few hours when they all finished dinner, and once (Y/n) was all dried off, all three of them went back onto the boat. Lucky for him, (Y/n) didn't fall off this time. Michael actually caught a few fish, much to his and Emma's excitement.

Emma, in true mom fashion, took many pictures of her son going fishing, but he didn't seem to mind it very much. She even got a few shots of (Y/n) and Michael together, Michael looking off the edge of the boat, and (Y/n) making sure he didn't fall in like he did a few hours before.

The family spent the rest of the evening out on the boat fishing, and Michael fell asleep soon after they got off the boat, tired from all the excitement of his dad falling in the lake, to catching a couple of fish later on.

The rest of the vacation included many more fishing trips, Michael only growing more excited for the next after each one. Fishing was definitely his new favorite activity, which resulted in (Y/n) buying two fishing poles online for them to use when they go back home.

(Hi besties I've never actually gone fishing before except for one time that I barely even remember that well so I hope this is accurate but enjoy! Fun fact, I did own a spider man fishing pole for a few weeks when I went to my grandparents house over the summer when I was like 7. Then they gave it away I think, I don't really know. Anywayz hope you enjoyed!)
