Chapter 23 ~ A Third

(So now that my stress is pretty much gone I hope to write more. I'm so glad this has made it over twenty chapters.  I have the rest of the book roughly planned out, but I don't know how many chapters will come out of it. 30 at the least [I hope]. I will also start writing in my other two maximum ride books again so check that out! Now time for reading!)

Fang
     I was able to keep Raven safe but I've now gone through test four different times. Timed running, fighting, and some surgical like testing. They haven't touched my baby girl.
    She has been fairly peaceful since she came herd. Thank goodness she doesn't understand what is going on. But she can tell that I'm hurt.
   The other day I was giving an IV with - who - knows - what in it and she crawled on my lap and kissed the mark then layed her cheek on it.
    Now here we are. I'm lying on the floor and she is laying on my stomach. Her breath comes out with a little snore riding on it. If only we weren't here.

"I thought you two were gone." I said as I lead Rachet and Holden into the room, " I knee Maya died so I just thought...."
   Holden held up his hand," Max it's fine. We planned on you guys to think we were dead. That way no one could cone after us. We were in hiding. "
  Ace sat down by his dad while Alex leaned in the doorway, " Then why are you back? Why did you come out of hiding?"
   "Because we heard about Fang. We saw Nudge a few days a go on accident.  She told us everything and asked for are help."
The answer came from Rachet as he sat in the small desk chair.
   Iggy looked in Rachet general direction," You saw Nudge? We're the others with her?"
   Holden answered next," It was just her. She said the others are coming too.   We got here....."
  He was cut off by Rachet shhing him," Erazers."
As he said it two Erazers crashed through the widow and another three came through the door. Everyone was throwing punch.
    I side kicked one while Ace got one in the neck. Alex didn't really know what to do so he grab a lamp and did the best he could. Jebidiah and Stormy came running up soon after and tried to help.
  " Everyone out the window! " I yelled. Ace grabbed Holden and I grabbed Rachet since they couldn't fly and we all jumped out.
    Once we landed we ran for about thirty minutes till we knew we were not being followed. When I did a head count I noticed something and started to panic.
  "Jebidiah?"
  "Yeah?"
  "Where is your brother?"
