𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥 (𝙅.𝙈.)

A few hours later, John B is off at the Cameron's mansion stealing scuba gear from their boat. Kie and Pope are inside the screened in porch, talking about god knows what while me and JJ are hanging out on the hammock.

I look up at JJ, who's chest I'd been laying on for at least 10 minutes. "J, I think we need to talk" I tell him, looking his eyes. "About what Liz?" He asks with a smile.

"We need to talk about what happened at the keggar the other night... why did you do it?" I ask him. "Well, it's quite simple actually. I was drunk for one thing, and I wasn't about to let the kooks win again" his words make my heart shatter

"o-oh" was all I could manage to say. I then realized he probably would have done that for any of the pogues, that's how he is. It's just that I thought maybe, just maybe, he actually had feelings for me.

I looked up at JJ as we had been completely silent for a full two minutes. It wasn't normal for us, we were normally very talkative but today just wasn't one of those days. I could tell he was deep in thought, so I just let him be as I thought about him.

I thought about how much I love him, and how much he will never love me back. I know that one of these days, he'll break my heart by telling me he doesn't feel the same way. I told myself that I'd get over him, though I never will.

Soon John B arrived back with the scuba gear. JJ and and JB loaded the tanks into the pogue, before we headed out into the marsh, straight for the wreck. We anchored the boat and Kie started to check the tanks.

"This is empty, you took empty tanks?" She asks. "Leave it to my brother to take empty tanks" I said which made JJ laugh. He gave me a high five. John B glared at him which shut him up real quick.

"This ones a quarter full, it's enough for one of us. Does anyone know how to dive?" She asks. I raise my hand. "I'll do it! All you do is breathe right?" I say. JJ laughs and says "it's kind of a kook sport"

"I read about it" Pope states. "Great, Pope read about it, so Lizzie your definitely gonna die" Kie tells me. "Yeah, on second thought, I forfeit" I say lowering my hand.

"Look, you put the thing in your mouth and breathe how hard could it be?" JJ asks the group. "Well if you come up to fast, nitrogen gets into your blood and you get the bends" Pope replies. "The bends like..." JJ looks at me before we both bent over in a goofy way "bend over and you just like-" JJ was cut off by Pope. "The bends kill you"

Me and JJ both stood up straight and gave each other another look before saying "oh" "right..."

"I can dive" John B states. "Yeah you can dive. I'm cool with that. At least it's not Liz" JJ says looking down. We all give him a confused look. "Since when can you dive?" Kie asks John B.

"Yeah I'll do it it's fine" he replies. "Let me do some quick calculations" Pope says grabbing some paper and a pen. "Are you serious?" I hear Kie mumble to John B before going over to Pope.

"Which means you need to make your safety spot at about 10 feet for two minutes" Pope tells John B. I went and stood behind my brother and Kie before lifting my shirt over my head to reveal a hot pink bathing suit. I then jumped into the water.

"Uhhhh..." Pope and John B both said "What was that all about?" Kie asked as the whole group looked where I once stood. "I don't know... but I liked it... a lot" JJ states very clearly.

When I resurfaced, JJ was telling John B how to open one of the compartments on the boat. "Hey... I tied my t-shirt to the anchor chain about 10 feet down. It's where your need to make your safety stop" I told the group. "Cool" John B replied, as he already had a tank on his back.

"Breathe as slow as possible" Pope told JB before walking away. "Zen... think zen" JJ says as I pulled myself up into the boat. Kie walked over to John B and gave him a kiss on the cheek. I gasped then squealed knowing that they both like each other.
JJ chuckled.

"Diver down?" My brother asked. "Diver down" Kie said before stepping away from the bow. John B then pulled the mask over his face and jumped into the water.

Not long after, I heard a police siren. I looked back at the boat pulling up to us. "Shit... J?" I said quickly glancing at him before looking at the police boat. "Guys that's the police... yep that's the police" JJ states walking to the other side of the boat.

"Just act fricken normal" Kie said fixing her hair. I did the same. "Good evening officers" I say, and so does the rest of the group. "JJ, tie this off" Pope hands the rope to JJ. He ties it off then walks back and links his arm around me. I mean, Kie did tell us to act normal.

"How are you kids doing? You know the marsh is closed..." officer shoupe states. "Oh I'm sorry we didn't know" I say, trying to be innocent. JJ smirks. I nudged him. "W-why is it closed?" Pope asks. We already knew the answer though.

"We're conducting a search out here, a boat went down. Have you seen anything?" He asks. "Nope" I say. Kie looks around acting suspicious. "Let me just check out your little boat here" the officer hops onto the boat.

"Feel free to check it out" JJ waves around the other arm that wasn't around me.

Hey! I know a lot of you guys came from the TikTok I posted and I wanted to thank you so much for reading this story! I probably won't be posting tomorrow because I'm in school but I will definitely write a few more parts on Wednesday!
