𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥 (𝙅.𝙈.)

Thirty one

"Well uh Sarah- she- she got me into the archives at chapel hill yesterday and that's where I got the letter-" John B started to explain himself. "You were in chapel hill with Sarah Cameron?!" Kie asks in disbelief. "Yeah um-" me and JJ both cut him off. "He was macking on her" We both say in sync.

"I wasn't macking-" JJ cuts him off again. "You're totally macking Sarah Cameron" He says. "I wasn't macking her alright? I was using her for... access" My brother exclaims. "There was access alright" JJ mumbles in my ear, loud enough for the rest of the group to hear. I let out a laugh. "Did you tell her about the treasure?" Kie asks. "I was just trying to get in the archives, I left out key details" John B replies. "Is that a yes?! You let a kook in on our secret?!" Kie yells. "What about pogue life? What about the t-shirt company bro?!" She adds.

"I wa- I was just using her for information" he replies. "mhm ok" I say. "Now why don't I believe you?" She asks sarcastically. "I'm trying to make us filthy rich here" John B says. "ok so we can pay off a boat or send you to autopsy school to study dead bodies" he points at Pope.

"Look you guys know me, do I look like the type to fall for Sarah Cameron?" He asks. Kie shrugs. "Uhh" JJ doesn't dare to say it. "Do you want us to answer that or?" Pope asks. "Yeah, you kinda do" I say. "Lizzie I swear to god-" he's cut off by Kie. "Look you don't know her, I do! You can't trust her" She says. "Her brother did beat me with a golf club and slap your sister across the face multiple times" Pope adds.

"Rafe and Sarah are two different human beings" John B defends Sarah. "What did she do to you again exactly?" JJ asks Kie. "She's like a- a spitting cobra. First she- she blinds you-" Me and the boys all share confused looks because of the words she was saying. "This is a bad analogy" Pope says.

"Listen to me!" Kie yells at John B. "Whatever we get she's gonna try to take" She adds. The group was silent for the rest of the time as we all had different opinions on if Sarah should be apart of it. Personally, I didn't mind it as long as she didn't try to pull anything or use us. We all sat by the fire until it was time to meet Sarah and get the map.

Hours later, we arrived at the meeting spot. JJ and Pope slid the door open and I started to climb out. "I think I'm gonna do this one by myself" John B states. Kie rolled her eyes at him. "Seriously bro?" JJ asks. "Simp" I mumble.

"Look I just don't want to spook Sarah with the peanut gallery" John B replies. "I don't understand why we're involving her at all" Kie states. "Kie we're not involving her ok? It's just like a- a business meeting" My brother says.

JJ makes an inappropriate gesture which makes me and Pope laugh. "Look once we get what we need we cut her loose alright? Plus we need the map" John B ignores the three of us who were now in the back of the van.

"Promise me nothings happening between you two" Kie says. "Nothing is happening Kie, I promise" He says. "That was really believable" JJ states. "Totally" I add. "I'm gonna take care of business" John B says getting out of the van.

"You're gonna take care of that business so well" JJ exclaims. "Go get that girl, I mean map JB" I say. "We'll just be here... in the hot ass car... while it's lightning" Pope adds. John B heads off to meet Sarah.

"Bro he is obsessed with her" I say. "Says the one who is currently sitting on her boyfriend's lap like a literal guard dog" Pope jokes. "Woof" I lay back onto JJ's shoulder and he kisses my lips before playing with my hair.

JJ and Pope start to talk about who would win in a fight between themselves for some odd reason. I look over at Kie who had been quiet the whole time. "Kie you know it's gonna be alright" I say to her. "Yeah it's just hard seeing him with her, knowing that she'll just use him and throw him out like a piece of garbage" she replies.

I suddenly heard a thud, apparently I was the only one who noticed because none of my friends seemed to look up. "Hey guys, i got to um- use the bathroom I'll be right back" I say getting off of JJ's lap. "Ok babe be careful it's getting kinda rough out there" JJ says planting a kiss on my lips. "Yeah I will" I reply before hopping out of the van.

I start to run towards where John B had mentioned the two were going to meet. And there I saw him. My brother laying hopelessly on the ground. "John B!" I yelled sprinting to his side, not caring about the mud staining my dress. "John B stay with me it's gonna be ok" tears start to fall from my face.

"John B!" Sarah comes running over next to me. "Oh my god" tears start to stream down her checks as well. "What the hell happened?!" I asked. "Topper pushed him" She replied. "John B we're gonna get you help it's gonna be ok" I say before running back towards the van to get my friends.

"Guys! Help!" I say in between cries. They all file out of the van before running over to me. "What's wrong?!" Pope asks. "It's John B- he- he's hurt" I cry into JJ's shoulder. "Shhh it's ok baby" He says as the other two immediately dart in the direction I came from. Me and JJ follow close behind him.

"What happened?!" Pope asks as we reach John B and Sarah. "Topper shoved him" me and Sarah were both still crying. "Where is he?!" JJ asks, looking around to find Topper. "I'm gonna go get help" Pope says sprinting back to the van. "Go!" JJ yells "Pope hurry!" Me and Kie add.

I get back to John B's side again. "John B stay with me" Sarah says, kissing him before pulling him close.

"Please don't leave me, I can't loose you too" I mumble, holding his hand until the emergency services arrived.
