Trieja: Jake And Josh [Under Revision]

Everyday, lagi kaming pumupunta sa open field para mag-picnic. At lagi namin kasama sina Tita Marilyn. But today is different, dahil sumama sa amin ang parents ni Jake. Kaming tatlo nina Papa Joaquin ang naiwan dito sa ilalim ng puno.

"Medyo makulimlim ngayon ah," PapaJoaquin said.

"That's fine, the boys would want this kind of weather." Tita Marilyn said, smirking.

"Right."

Binalingan ako ni Tita Marilyn. "I heard from Jake that you're having trouble coping with how Throuple Marriage works?"

Tumaas ang kilay ko. "Tsismosa rin pala ang asawa ko."

Malakas na napahalakhak ang dalawang matanda.

"Silly girl, you don't have to be embarrassed about your confusions." Natatawang sabi ni PapaJoaquin. "Come on, tell us what's bothering you."

Di ako agad nakapagsalita. Ayaw ko kasi talaga dahil gusto kong sina Jake mismo ang magkuwento sa akin ng dapat kong malaman tungkol sa ganitong tradisyon. But both of them always seem so busy whenever they lock themselves up in that giant office room in the manor.

And I perfectly remember the first time I disrupted Josh later this week. Nasigawan niya ako. Of course, my reflexes were activated because of it and I slapped him hard on the face. Alam kong may problema siya pero sana naman ay 'wag niyang ibunton sa akin.

Siyempre, pinakalma siya ni Jake. That's our usual scenario, kapag nagkakaroon kami ng away noon ni Josh. I would be the gas igniting that scorching fire and then Jake is always the fire extinguisher to cool off our heads.

But, that happened a few days ago. So, okay na kami ngayon... I think.

"I just don't understand why there's only three people in Trieja." Tugon ko kay Papa Joaquin.

"Well, basically, Trieja is a union of three people in a Throuple Marriage. Meaning, tatlo lang talaga ang nasa Trieja relationship."

"In shorter terms, you only love two people, not five or six." Tita Marilyn said.

"Ano ang pinagkaiba nila sa Polygamy?", because that was mentioned by her a few days ago.

"Like I said, Trieja is based on that strong emotion you'd feel once you make an eye contact with a person more dominant in that kind of relationship."

Napatango-tango ako.

"Sa Polygamy kasi, Claire, it is based on the first wife or husband of a person whether he or she will approve of another relationship with the third or fourth person." Dagdag ni Papa Joaquin.

"In short, Polygamy is based on mutual understandings. Kailangan gusto rin ng first partner mo ang balak mong pag-asawa ulit."

Tumango tango ulit ako, unti unting naiintindihan ang lahat.

"So, bawal ma-in love ulit? I can't love another person when I'm already married to the two of them?", I asked.

"Silly," Tita Marilyn giggled. "Never in the Trieja history has a record of someone cheating while married to his or her current partners."

"'Wag naman ganyan ang pag-explain mo, Mar. Nalilito ang bata." Si Papa Joaquin.

"But that's the truth, that's what you told me, remember?"

Napailing na lang siya bago ako binalingan. "Iha, when you love for the second time, that will be the last time you'll ever feel for someone that strong. Trieja is much stronger than the love our world has taught us, it is not the same as a person cheating with his or her partner out of fun, lust, or excitement. What we are all feeling, it is more than just that."
