"Anong ginagawa mo dito?", mariing tanong ni Jennette.

Marilyn looked away respectfully. It's crystal clear that Jennette's still angrily wary of her, and the trust that was once given to her is now broken and nonexistent. And she completely understands her sentiments. Who would even want to continue being friends with a snake?

"Gusto ko sanang... k-kausapin si—"

"No."

Mabilis siyang napabaling dito. Desperation registered in Marilyn's eyes as Jennette remained stoic. Marilyn wanted to tell her that she's only here to apologise... nothing more.

Alam niyang mali ang kanyang ginawa dahil nasira ang kanyang pamilya. Jake doesn't want to see her anymore. He doesn't talk to her like before. And her husband and wife, they wouldn't even give her a single glance. Malamig ang pakikitungo ng dalawa sa kanila.

Marilyn's desperate expression changed to being emotionless when a memory of her always being left alone in that huge house crossed her mind. It's just the same. Trieja did not make her feel happy like it once was. It is not the same anymore.

Jennette seemed to be bothered by Marilyn's sudden expression. She felt relief when the maids informed her that Marilyn has finally left their home. But something is really bothering her.

Something that she once felt right before the night of that Grand Ball back when Claire was still here.

Tama si Sasha. I should've never let myself be immersed with this feeling. Marilyn thought.

A tear escaped her eyes, but she did not bother to wipe it off. Bahala ng may makakita sa kanyang umiiyak. She's not embarrassed anymore.

All of them. Every single relative that's living in that prison-of-a-manor, they wouldn't want to talk to her. They steer clear from her. They avoid her as if she's some walking deadly plague ready to ruin and end their lives. Marilyn has enough of this.

Tell him that mapapanatag na ang loob ng kanyang pamilya... because he won't be seeing me anymore."

Even when they don't have any deep issues to argue about, she'd always be left out by them.

She plans to leave this place. She plans to leave everyone. After all, she's still Marilyn Volturo once she leaves this city.

Tears were streaming down her face when she zipped close the luggage. There's something in Marilyn that's telling her not to leave.
