THIRD PERSON'S POV.
As River sat with Amber on the latter's bed, her guitar in her arms, the two roommates had a surprise (not really) visitor. Willow Jenks had stopped by Anubis House like she had been doing more than often this year, but this time she actually had a different reason. She had gone out of her way to get Amber a birthday gift.
"You got me a present?" Amber asked Willow in shock. She unwrapped the wrapping, revealing a beautiful blue scarf. River widened her eyes at it while Amber gasped. "It's beautiful. Thank you, Willow."
"Where'd you get it?" River inquired as she felt the scarf.
"It's handmade, actually," Willow informed her. "It's genuine Indonesian silk made from moth silk saliva."
River's hand froze as her face contorted into disgust. She pulled her hand away while Amber had the same reaction as she did. River grimaced a bit, muttering, "And now I need to disinfect my hand."
Despite her disgust, Amber gave Willow a forced smile. "That's so nice."
"So," Willow dragged out her word as she sat on Amber's bed. Noticing that the strawberry blonde was eyeing the room, River let out a small sigh. She knew Willow was going to ask about wanting to move in with the resident female prankster and fashionista, "about the room then. I've always been a huge fan, Amber, and River, you and I are former sisters-in-law. We're practically sisters. I know we'd all go on brilliantly."
Before Willow could continue, a knock was heard on the door, and in stepped Mara, looking displeased when she saw Willow. "Willow, what are you doing here?"
Willow gave an innocent shrug. "Moving in."
Mara scoffed. "I don't think so."
"But it's meant to be."
"No."
"Yes." Willow stood up, causing River to share an annoyed look with Amber.
"No."
"Yes."
"No!"
"Yes!"
"No!"
Thankfully, before the two could continue, Trudy came into the room holding a box of clothes under her arm, while KT trailed behind her with two other boxes in her arms.
"What's all the commotion?" Their housemother asked.
"Please may I share with Amber and River?" Mara inquired of Trudy.
"This room absolutely needs me," Willow countered. Having no answer from Trudy, everyone looked River and Amber's way for one, seeing as the two were the current residents of the room.
"I refuse to get involved in politics on my birthday," Amber informed them.
"And I could care less," River added as she raised her hand.
