THIRD PERSON'S POV.
"Does anyone know where KT and Eddie have gone to?" Denby asked the class. "Is KT growing the apple tree herself? Fabian?"
"Hmm?" Fabian shot up. He hadn't been doing anything related to art but had been secretly reading his book about Egyptian symbols. "Oh, uhm, I-I don't know, Miss, but I do know that she needs a certain shade of red."
River removed her headphones from her ear and they hung on her neck. She examined the piece in front of her and pouted. It looked incredibly juvenile. Maybe Noah was right. Catching her attention was Alfie, Joy, Jerome, and Patricia. The four of them were acting odd as they scribbled drawings. Fabian went over to Patricia and Jerome in a hurry. His action caused River to move over to where Alfie and Joy stood.
River grew confused, witnessing Alfie and Joy's quick hands draw similar images with their blue-inked pens. She glanced over at the other end of the classroom and made eye contact with Fabian who witnessed the same thing. Whatever was going on, it had to do with the descended. The four stopped drawing and stared at their work in bafflement.
"Hey, yours is like mine," Joy noticed, growing a confused look. "How did you... How did I?"
"Excuse me, guys," Jerome spoke to Alfie and Joy, who seemed as confused as he did. "What just happened here?"
"It's witchcraft," Alfie concluded.
"River," Fabian called the girl's attention. "Collect all the otherwise quickly before Denby sees it."
River took Alfie's drawing and Joy's, who frowned at that action but didn't question it.
"No, before I see what?" Denby asked as she stood up. She stuck her hand out to Patricia who held her drawing defensively.
"Hey, I haven't finished yet!" Patricia said. Denby gave her a warning look and the auburn girl gave in, giving her drawing to the woman.
"I think I should collect these, don't you?"
"No, I don't."
Denby ignored her and stuck her hand out to Jerome. "Give," she demanded.
Confused at what happened, Jerome just handed the drawing. The woman stalked over to the other side of the classroom and before River could protest, she snatched the drawings out of her clutches.
