Dick was finished with the last goods train at the end of the month. He rolled into the shed, and saw the other engines talking. "You all have it so easy," said Dick, "Getting what you want, because the controller favors steam over diesel!" The engines were cross. "You don't know what we went through!!" said Gordon. He then decided to tell them about a certain event on Sodor.

Dick was now interested in the story. "What happened next?" he asked. "Well, I believe the big engines are embarrassed to tell it," said Edward, "So I'll take it from here."

The engines laughed, while Gordon, Henry and James blushed in embarrassment. "I see you all are telling stories," said a voice. Everyone turned to see (Y/N) walking in. "Yes," said Edman, "they are very interesting." "I never intended Gordon to go on strike like that," said Scotsman, "I just meant for him to show his authority as a Tender Engine." "So what happened next?"

"So, is that it?" asked Den. "Not really," said Edward, "We have two more stories, and they're about Henry getting his new shape." Penny was confused. "New shape?" "Henry wasn't always the strong engine he is today."

"But, if you used special coal," said Mallard, "Then why are you using regular coal now?" "I'll actually tell you," said Henry, "It starts with a train called, the 'Flying Kipper'."

"So, when did the Tram Engine come in?" asked Scotsman. "Toby's story is interesting," said Thomas, "Tell us Toby."

"So, what happened next?" asked Edman. "Yes, tell us what happened!" said Dick. He was now very excited. Thomas then sighed and said, "This next part is kind of embarrassing for me, but also for a certain constable."

Gordon laughed, "That law was out of date then and still is!!!" "Not in America," said Penny, "I needed a cow-catcher to pull passengers." "I should know," said Flying Scotsman, "I was fitted with one, along with a Buck-Eye coupler, a bell and a chime whistle."

"There is more," said Mallard sadly, "Many of us have lost our brothers and sisters." "They were all scrapped," said Scotsman, "I actually witnessed all my brothers and sisters being scrapped, except for Gordon. I was next, until I was bought by a man, and was persevered to pull special rail tours." "I wasn't so lucky," said Mallard, "I was just put in a museum and just stood there." "I'm actually the last engine of my class," said Thomas, "I was bought just one day after all my brothers and sisters were sent for scrap."

Dick was amazed. He now felt sorry for saying these things. "I'm sorry I made fun of you and was arrogant." Everyone smiled, "It's alright." "There is more to life than just being modern," said Edward. "There is being friends," said Thomas. Dick smiled.

Now a days, he helps the other engines in anyway he can. He is still full of himself, but it's died down a bit. He feels that he can now have a place to call home.
