Alfred and Reginald lead the engines across the mainland. The two soon argued, until Spencer made a loud whistle! "LISTEN!!" said Spencer, "Instead of arguing, why don't you ask for directions!?!?" The engines scoffed, and rolled their eyes.
Elsewhere, Thomas and Lady were puffing along the line, when Merlin came by with a load of steel girders. "Hello Thomas," said Merlin, "Who's your friend?" "This is Lady," said Thomas, "We're looking for (Y/N) again, she's been kidnapped again!" "Oh dear!" said Merlin, "Where do you think she could be?" "I don't know, I suggest we try an engine factory."
Meanwhile, (Y/N) watched from a hook as the new diesel was having a test run. He was like Diesel 10, but he was a dark shade of blue, and had a large number one on his side. He was currently lifting some parts onto a flatbed, and he did it well. "Well done, Number One," said the man, "I'm pleased with your work." "Thank you sir," said Number One. "Now, we need to think of a name for you. What do you think of Derrick?" "Hm, no." "Jacob?" "Nah." "Steve?" "How about, Thomas?" The diesel thought for a minute, and said, "I like it. Thomas it is!" The man clapped, and said, "Now, you can be the perfect replacement for that little teapot, Thomas the Tank Engine." "Oh," said Thomas, "There's another engine called Thomas?" "Yes, and he's blue and has a number one. I believe he would make good scrap." "Yes," said Thomas. (Y/N) was lowered, and put inside Thomas, as he rattled away.
Soon, the other engines were standing outside a large station, and they stared at the horizon. Soon, a horn was heard, and Thomas pulled up, and the man climbed down, with (Y/N) being carried bridal style. "LET (Y/N) GO!!" cried Toby. "The will first," said the man. The engines then looked around, and said, "It's not here." "Really?" Just then, a peep peep was heard, and Thomas rolled in with Lady. He then saw the large diesel. "Oh, you must be Thomas." "And you are?" "Thomas the Diesel Engine." Thomas was surprised, this diesel had his paint, and number! The man then said, "WHERE IS THE WILL?!?" Elizabeth then came out, and she held it. She looked at it, and held it out and said, "Trade." (Y/N) was shoved into Elizabeth's arms, and the fake will was swiped from her hands. Elizabeth ungagged (Y/N) and kissed her passionately. "Oh, I thought I'd never see you again!" said (Y/N). The man just laughed, until a stern sounding voice said, "ALEXANDER STEVE ROBERTSON JUNIOR!!!!" The man, now known as Alex, turned to see a man who looked like he was a business man, storm over to him. "Hi, dad," he said nervously. "DON'T 'HI DAD' ME!?!?! WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA, KIDNAPPING A YOUNG WOMAN, HOLDING HER HOSTAGE FOR A WILL!!" "But, dad, I...." "SAVE IT!!" "YOU SAID TO DO ANYTHING IT TAKES!!!!" "I MEANT BRIBE HER WITH MONEY, NOT STOCK HOLD SYNDROME!!!" After three hours, the police came, and sorted out everything. Elizabeth went to untie (Y/N), but she said, "No, wait, Elizabeth, you can have your way with me in a coach on the trip back home." The engines decided not to question what they would do. Soon, they all made it home, and (Y/N) arrived as Elizabeth's prisoner. The engines decided to forget what they saw, and go to sleep. Soon, there was a large court meeting. It was declared, that steam would be the main source of transport for years to come. The engines cheered, and were happy.
Thomas the Diesel meanwhile, was working on the mainland. His number was still intact, but he never interacts with steam engines, unless necessary. For he knows, they have more experience than him.
