It was a bright and sunny day on Paradise Island. The Can Do Crew and Jack and the pack were getting ready for the big day. "Alright team," said Betty, "We have a big project a head of us. Today, we're going to be building the new narrow-gauge railway that will go in places that the standard-gauge engines can't go." "While we build the miniature-gauge railway," said Jeffery. "Why are they called narrow-gauge and miniature-gauge?" asked Muck. "They're called that because their much smaller than the engines that usually work around here, like Thomas and his friends." "How much smaller?" asked Scoop. "Well, the narrow-gauge engines are big enough for a person to fit in their cap. While miniature-gauge engines are much smaller. In fact, when you stand up, their cabs are even smaller than you!" "Wow!" said Roley, "That is small, but I bet they are still really useful!" "Indeed, let's go to the sight!" Scoop then said, "CAN WE BUILD IT?" "YES WE CAN!" replied the others. "I think so, yeah," said Lofty.

The team headed to the sight, and saw (Y/N) waiting for them, with Henry and Thomas. "Hello Betty and Jeffery," said (Y/N), "It's good to see you all again." "You too (Y/N)," said Betty, "I was worried when I heard you were kidnapped. So, do you have the plans?" "Yes I do, and I made them the old fashioned way." (Y/N) the pulled out some blueprints on paper. "So, the shed will go there, and there will be a turntable there, and the line will go to the quarry and mine, and to the mountains, where I plan on having some sights only accessible to the little engine. As for the miniature railway, I plan on having them to through the country side, and along the seaside. There will be a shed for them right next the station." "Thank you (Y/N)," said Jeffery. "Now, Henry and Thomas will be bringing materials for you, and then Den will bring the engines later to test the rails. Now, I must be off, I have a railway to run." (Y/N) then headed off in her new car, that could go on roads and rails. "Alright team," said Betty, "Let's get to work."

Scoop and Muck started digging the foundation for the sheds, while Jack laid the rocks down for the sweepers and rails. Alfie and Oliver dug the foundation for the stations. Muck, Max and Monty took the dirt away. Roley and George rolled the dirt to smooth it out, while Lofty and Kelly put in support beams for the shed and station.

Soon, James arrived with some workmen. "I see you all are building a toy railway!" said James. "It's a Narrow-Gauge Railway James," said Roley. "Their just small engines!" said James, "and they seem to be just children's toys!" "Now James," said Betty, "Be nice, these engines used to work on Sodor, just like you!" James just snorted and headed off. George was not entirely happy to build a railway. He saw Dizzy mixing cement to hold the support beams for the sheds.

By the night, they had finished the yard, complete with the sheds, station, and the rails. Soon, Den's horn was heard, and he brought some small engines on flatbeds.
