The bridge to the mainland was finished, it was strong enough to have engines go to and from without having to take a boat to get to Paradise Island. And it would help a certain new 21 century steam engine. She was very smart looking. She was apple green, had the British Railways logo on her tender, had four guide wheels, six large drive wheels, and two supporting her cab, and smoke deflectors with the name plate, "Tornado", on them. (Start Video)

Soon, she puffed along the line, and she smiled as she headed down the bridge to Paradise Island. Tornado was very excited to meet her brothers Gordon and Flying Scotsman. Like them, she is an A1 LNER express locomotive. But unlike them, she was only recently competed, in 2008 to be precise, almost 100 years after her brothers. Her tour would also stop at the museum on Paradise Island. While there, she would help out on the railway, to learn the regulations and safety of the rails. When she reached the docks, she blew her whistle, and raced through. She was happy to be really useful. Tornado speed through the county side, and she watched all the children wave hello to her.

Soon, she slowed down into Sir Topham Hat Station, and the engines were impressed. Gordon and Flying Scotsman were the most impressed. She was like them in their prime days. "Hello," said (Y/N), "You must be Tornado. I am (Y/N) Awdry. Welcome to Paradise Island." "Thank you ma'am," said Tornado. "Now, you will be staying here for a few weeks, and learn how the railway operates. You will start out with local runs, and work your way up to the express." "Yes ma'am," said Tornado.

Soon, Tornado talked to all the other engines about her journey. "It was amazing!" she said, "going at high speeds, through the country side, and with passengers who adore steam! It's simply amazing!" The engines were happy she was enjoying herself, but were worried that she might end up like Gordon and Scotsman with their egos.

The next morning, Tornado waited at the platform for her coaches. Soon, Gordon pulled up beside her. "Hello Tornado," said Gordon. "Hello Big Brother," said Tornado. Soon, Scotsman pulled in. "I see you're talking to my little brother," he said. Tornado looked confused. "What are you talking about? Gordon is obviously the bigger of you two." Gordon smiled. "Now, Tornado, you're pulling the local, correct?" "Yes," she said. "And, you'll soon be pulling the express soon?" "Yes?" "And what are you doing right now?" "........Waiting for my coaches?" "Now, we can't have that on the express. So, what do you do?" "......Fetch our own coaches?" "No, no, no!" said Flying Scotsman, "You don't do that! Tender Engines don't shunt!" "Well, sometimes they do if needed," said Gordon, scoffing, "but, in this case, you do this." Gordon blew his whistle loudly, and yelled, "THOMAS, PERCY, DUCK!!! WHERE ARE OUR COACHES!?!?!" Soon, the little engines came rushing to the station, panting. "WE'RE HERE!!" said Thomas crossly, "We have your coaches now!" "It's alright Thomas," said Tornado, "Take your time." "No," said Gordon, "the express is the most important train on the line, and it can never, EVER be late!" "Well, I don't see what the rush is. There aren't even any passengers on the platform yet. The Station Master isn't even here."

Soon, the three big engines were out on the main line. "Now, when pulling the express," said Gordon, "Make sure to go as fast as you can, but be gentle with the coaches. Now, what happens when an engine is in front of you, and they're too slow?" "You ask them kindly to move onto the other line?" asked Tornado. "No," said Scotsman, "You have to over take them. Like this." Flying Scotsman then puffed forward, and he switched lines, and over took Henry pulling a slow goods. "Now, be sure to practice," said Gordon, picking up speed.

Soon, Tornado was due to pull the Non-Stop Express, and she waited patiently at the platform. Gordon pulled up next to her, and said, "Good morning Tornado." "Good morning Gordon," said Tornado. "Now, what are you doing?" "Waiting for my coaches," said Tornado. "Oh, right," said Tornado. She blew her whistle, and yelled, "MAY I PLEASE HAVE MY COACHES NOW!?!?" Soon, Thomas pulled in, and he pushed them into place. "There you go," said Thomas, as Percy pushed a train of goods to Gordon. "Now, I won't mind pulling a goods train today. Today Tornado, you will pull the Non-Stop Express. You don't stop until you get to the other end of the line. Understand?" Tornado laughed, "Of course I do, I figured it was kind fo obvious from the name!" Soon the guard blew his whistle, and Tornado took off.

Soon, she was out thundering down the mainline, when she came up on Toby and Henrietta. She blew her whistle, and said, "Excuse me. I need to pass please." "Of course," said Toby, moving onto the other line. "Thank you," said Tornado. Soon, Flying Scotsman came running down the other line, with another goods train, and he was hurrying, he didn't see Toby on the ahead of him. "SCOTSMAN!! LOOK OUT!!!" Tornado blew her whistle, and Scotsman was diverted into a sighting, and he smashed into a set of buffers. Tornado soon came up, and said, "Oh, I'm so sorry Scotsman, I..." "No, it's my fault," said Scotsman, "I should've been looking where I was going, and not rushing about. It was my habits that got me into this mess." Soon, the mess was cleared, and Scotsman was taken to the works to be looked over.

Tornado was soon learning about signals, points, and what stations to stop at. She was ready, the same time her tour was to end. Gordon and Flying Scotsman said, "You really do have the makings of an express engine!" "Thank you brothers!" said Tornado, "I'm glad to have such caring brothers like you two." "We engines have to stick together," said Mallard. Soon, the guard blew his whistle, and Tornado was off. She smiled, knowing she would pull rail tours around the mainland, and she was proud to have brothers that she could count on.
