Chapter Eleven: Meet the Shadow Reigners

FYI if a Digimon is unfamiliar, a majority of them are canon, so try and look them upon the Digimon wiki. I'll tell you if one isn't canon.

As Raegan sprinted closer to the group, they all turned and gasped. "Is something wrong?" Anna asked quickly.

"Shadows," Raegan muttered fearfully.

"What do you-" Fumiko began.

Charlie screamed, interrupting her sentence. A LadyDevimon was levitating closer, smirk plastered onto her face.

"Ooooh, kittens. I haven't seem such vulnerable targets in years," LadyDevimon laughed.

"Run!" Maia commanded.

No one objected. All of the kids sprinted in the opposite direction. Gargomon and Turuiemon attacked wildly.

But everyone slammed into each other when another figure stood before them. It was a Lilymon X playing with her nails snootily. "Done even try to run. The Shadow Reigners don't let anyone get far."

MailBirdramon swooped down from the sky and hovered over them threateningly. "You can't escape."

"This is by far the worst cornering I've ever seen," Jimmee murmured.

"Teamwork is effective for all," Kyle told him.

"The show's not over yet."

ShadowWereGarurumon jumped from a nearby tree. He, LadyDevimon, and Lilymon X began circling the kids slowly. They all crowded together as tight as possible. Sam clutched Charlie nervously. She held onto him protectively to distract herself from the certain destruction that circled them.

The rotating stopped. "We will let you go peacefully on one condition," Lilymon X suddenly stated.

"That is?" Dracomon asked desperately.

"You agree to go with your respective Shadow Reigner if they are present," LadyDevimon answered.

"Just realize that if you don't, all of you will meet the same fate," ShadowWereGarurumon snarled.

"Just tell us who these people would be," Renamon hissed.

"Those of Friendship, Light, Love, and Sincerity. The rest of you may remain," MailBirdramon thundered from above.

"I don't see much choice in the matter," Ayame pointed out. She knew what was coming.

"The ones with Turuiemon, Mikemon, Tsukaimon, and Falcomon will step forward if you wish to save your friends," Lilymon X threatened.

Ayame closed her eyes. She knew it.

Ceya, Raegan, and Ayame went forward without hassle. Sam stared at Charlie with tears in his eyes. They began flowing freely when she gently let go of him to stand with the other three girls.

Lilymon X grabbed Charlie's hand roughly. The latter turned to see Sam crying on Dracomon. "I'll be back," she mouthed.

Sam nodded through tears. Somehow he knew Charlie would keep her promise.

Tay slapped a tree for the hundredth time since the Shadow Reigners had left. She winced at the slight burn it left on her palm. "We should've done something."

"You sure enjoy abusing tree trunks," Anna muttered. The appearance of the Shadow Reigners had made her attitude plummet downwards.

"I'm sure that the Shadow Reigners have more up their sleeve," Kyle told himself. "The villains always do."
