"TSUKAIMON, DIGIVOLVE TO...DEVIMON!"

Ceya was ready to kick ShadowWereGarurumon. With Dobermon's recent appearance, she was rather fired up. Ceya growled at the wolf. "I hate you."

ShadowWereGarurumon eyed the blonde. "I hate you, too, blondie."

Devimon tackled the wolf, and Kaez grinned from nearby. She held up her arms in the 'touchdown' position. "Hole in home run!"

WereGarurumon laughed, his voice gravelly. "You don't understand sports, do you?"

Kaez shook her head, looking like a total idiot when her hair spread out every which way. "Not at all!"

Devimon was still smacking ShadowWereGaurumon when Ceya stood on top of him. "Why are you attacking us?!" she demanded.

"POD!" ShadowWereGarurumon exclaimed, throwing Devimon from his stomach. He grabbed Ceya around the waist, and her arms were glued to her side.

"What the creepy French chef does that mean?!" Ceya asked.

"What the creepy French chef does that mean?!" Devimon asked, shakily rising to his feet.

Ceya wormed out one of her arms from ShadowWereGarurumon's grip. She slammed it down on his fist, and the symbol of Friendship appeared where she touched. ShadowWereGarurumon shrieked in pain and dropped the blonde, who landed in a perfect crouch. Ceya stuck her tongue out at the wolf, just as childish as ever.

ShadowWereGarurumon dented the floor when he fell, blue light surrounding his body. "You stupid little kid!"

Ceya felt an odd warmth on her chest. Mystified, she looked down to see a blue symbol weaving itself just under her neck. Ceya smirked. Maybe the crest of Friendship would give her a little more help than just that one blow....

Ceya touched the symbol and watched blue light surround her fingers. She jabbed it at ShadowWereGarurumon, who was a few feet in front of her. Ceya watched him howl in pain, quite literally, and smirked.

"How does it feel to be beat up by some 'stupid little kid?'" Ceya asked.

ShadowWereGarurumon forced himself to his feet. He reared back a fist, ready to punch Ceya with all he had...

And as he thrust his hand forward...

A blue force field surrounded the blonde.

"Ha! Dobermon's energy is still strong inside me, and he's going to do everything he can to protect me. Your foolish attacks will do nothing!" Ceya exclaimed.

——-

POD gasped. "How is she...?!" POD whirled around to face her throne. Dobermon's face had changed from the typical serious expression to one of ultimate focus and determination.

"Why are you doing this?!" POD demanded.

"It's what partners do for one another," Dobermon replied.

"Partners..." POD whispered. Golden laughter flooded into her mind. She shook her head, forcing it away. "Why is ShadowWereGarurumon not pummeling the blonde who nearly got you killed?!"

"One half of a DigiDestined partnership cannot harm the other half through actual attacks. ShadowWereGarurumon's energy comes from you, and Ceya's comes from me, so this fight will do nothing until another enters the combat."

POD felt sweat dropping from her for the first time in what felt like forever. "Does that mean...?"

——-

Ceya felt something appear on her chest. She looked down to see a yellow object with gold outlining it. "My crest! I got my crest!"

Ceya turned to face Devimon. "It's about time we finished this fight!"

Time slowed, and Ceya smiled. "Yeah, yeah, talk, talk, I don't care right now."

A sigh came from an unknown person. "Impatient as ever, I see. Regardless, Inheritor of Friendship and Keeper of Truth, send this evil away for good! The truth about your lost partner isn't as dire as you once thought...."

Ceya was instantly curious about the last statement, but said nothing of it, because Devimon was glowing, changing shape, right before her very eyes.

"DEVIMON, DIGIVOLVE TO...YATAKARAMON!"

A large, dark bird replaced Devimon. "ShadowWereGarurumon, your evil stops here! Feather Black!"

The surrounding area was overcome with darkness. The crests gave off small light, but only for the wearer. Everyone else was blind to anything occurring...or any attacks about to hit them....

Yatakaramon drove one of his feet into ShadowWereGarurumon's back. The wolf fell onto the ground, and after a few more seconds with rustles of movement, the light returned.

ShadowWereGarurumon looked up to see 16 Digimon-and 16 unhappy Digimon, at that-were staring him down, more often than not frowning. The circle consisted of Antylamon, Beastmon, Rapidmon, FrozenAngewomon, Crowmon, Yatakaramon, Astamon, Coredramon, Taomon, WereGarurumon, MagnaAngemon, SuperiorArresterdramon, Wizardmon, Leomon, and Seasarmon. Surprisingly, a translucent Dobermon was present as well. "It's take down time," WereGarurumon said.

"I couldn't agree less," Crowmon replied.

"Attaaaaaaaaaaaack!" Kaez exclaimed, sounding slightly insane when she did.

The next few moments were endless noise as all 16 Digimon let out their most powerful attacks. Most covered their ears from the sheer volume of the yells. ShadowWereGarurumon had other problems, however. The attacks were fuzzing his data.

Yatakaramon stepped forward, ready to give the final blow. "Mikafutsu-no-kami!" he shouted. Swirling black and purple energy struck ShadowWereGarurumon, and fog covered the area. Under the cover of this fog, all the Digimon went back to rookie form, except for Yatakaramon, who became Pagumon, in-training level.

Also under cover of the fog, ShadowWereGarurumon's data vanished, returning to the Digital World for good.

——-

POD was panting insanely when the data came back and hit her throne. Yet another dark symbol to show a fallen Digimon. Dobermon's head returned to the top of her throne after its abrupt disappearance.

POD looked around. Nothing in the room to take her anger out on. POD held out her hand and created a Digi-Egg. POD watched the egg materialize before her before slamming her foot down near the egg, and its data disappeared and flew to her throne in seconds.

"Why are all of the Digimon I make stupid?!" POD wondered aloud. She turned to the throne. "Dobermon, don't ever leave me again."

Silence. "I could never, Faye..." Dobermon's voice finally came.

More painful memories. POD groaned. "Don't call me that."

Dobermon's head on top of the throne didn't nod. POD was too angry to pursue the topic further.

"I just wish those kids would go away," POD muttered before sitting back on her throne. Dobermon's nose nuzzled her hair protectively, just like he used to do with Ceya. Just like he used to do with his partner, before he got a new one...
