Maia ran and knocked on the door of the house in front of her. She had already said her greetings to Kaez's mom. Kaez had reintroduced herself to her mother an hour before, and once everything was worked out, Maia had split.

The door opened to show who Maia was looking for. "Oh! Maia!" Raegan exclaimed.

Before Raegan could ask about Maia's intentions for coming, Maia stopped her. "I want to talk to you about something."

Raegan nodded. "Alright. Come on in."

Raegan let Maia inside and led the honey blonde up to her room. The girls sat on the queen sized bed next to each other. "Alright, what is this about?" Raegan asked.

Maia looked away. "Ceya."

Raegan sighed. "I had a feeling you'd come one of these days."

"Huh?"

Raegan shook her head. "Never mind. What do you want to know?"

"Why did Ceya break down about being evil?"

Raegan looked down now. "She has a heavy burden on her soul. When Ceya was little, she met a little boy. He died soon after they met, and Ceya felt awful about that. Her guilt only increased when...."

Maia looked at her. "When...?"

"She's bidestined."

Maia cocked her head. "What does that mean?"

Raegan closed her eyes in recollection. "She has two Digimon partners."

That threw Maia for a loop. "What?!"

Raegan nodded. "Her other partner, Dobermon, was killed in a fight four years ago. Ceya blamed herself for not only that, but Tapirmon's death."

Maia thought that she would cry. She hadn't seen this coming when she showed up on Raegan's doorstep. "Wow," was all that would come out of her lips. Maia stood.

"Where are you going?" Raegan asked.

"I'm going to see Ceya," Maia replied, walking for the doors.

Raegan was shocked that she was leaving so soon. "See you, I guess."

Maia dashed outside, barely registering Raegan's words. She turned left and ran three houses down before knocking.

A blonde answered, her curls covering up the sides of her face. "My-"

Maia grabbed Ceya's hand and pulled her outside. "Why didn't you tell us?"

Ceya looked away. "Tell you what?"

"That you were bidestined." Maia's voice was dead serious.

Ceya sighed. "I couldn't face the truth. Dobermon died because of me. That guilt doesn't fall on anybody else's soul but mine. I don't want to bring up any other tragic memories of that night."

Maia felt a pang of guilt. "Sorry..."

It was Ceya's turn to be serious. "How did you find out in the first place?"

"I asked Raegan."

Ceya groaned. "Gosh. I should have known."

"Why?"

Ceya shook her head. "Never mind. I'm heading up to the school."

And with that, Ceya whipped her hand away from Maia's and walked away.

—-

Ceya flopped down on her bed. She bit her lip. She wasn't going to cry.

Ceya looked around. She was alone. No need to hold back her tears now.

And with that, she stared at the picture from four years before. Datamon had taken it. Ceya picked up the photo. In it was her riding Dobermon at age nine with Tuskaimon atop her head.

She grabbed the photo, held it to her chest, and began to cry, tears flowing from her face over emotionally.

—-

"Ceya?"

Ceya opened her eyes to see Tsukaimon. She hadn't even realized she had left her partner Digimon at her house. Ceya sat up. Had she fallen asleep? The photo and its frame fell onto her lap.

"Hi, Tsu-Tsu." Ceya wiped her eyes with the back of her hand. "How did you find me?"

"Maia." Ceya held back a groan. Why was Maia always so helpful?

Ceya picked up her picture again. She held it to her chest, a tear slipping from her eye. "I miss him..."

Tsukaimon sighed. "Me too. I wish he hadn't been deleted."

Ceya...

Ceya gasped and looked up. Tsukaimon stared at her in confusion. He hadn't heard it. Ceya shook her head. She was just hearing things. She had to be. After all, Dobermon couldn't talk; he was just a memory now. Nothing but a distant memory...

Ceya...!

Ceya gasped again. Was he really talking to her? Was it possible that he had survived? She shook her head. No. It was just a dream. Just a hope.

I'm here....

Ceya held the photo tighter to her chest. This couldn't be happening... or could it?

Maia burst into the room. "Ceya! ShadowWereGarurumon is attacking the school!" As if on cue, the sound of something breaking could be heard.

Ceya stood. "I'll meet you out there in a second." Maia nodded and dashed outside. A faint voice could be heard.

"PATAMON, DOUBLE DIGIVOLVE TO...MAGNAANGEMON!"

Ceya looked around her room one last time. No Dobermon. She was going crazy. Ceya went to her door, ready to open it, but then...

Ceya! Please! Close your eyes!

Ceya did as she was told and shut her eyes to see a dog staring at her intensely.

"Dobermon!" Ceya exclaimed.

The dog nodded. I know I'm just in your head, but I just want to tell you something important. I don't have much time...!

Ceya gasped. "Don't have much time?!"

Dobermon nodded again. I only have so much time before my data is deleted entirely! In three years, maybe I'll be restored, but I have to warn you!

"What is it?!" Ceya exclaimed, dissatisfied she couldn't have a happy reunion with her old friend.

SkullGreymon's spirit is still inside of you! He may have been defeated, but his data fused with yours, and when you crossed to the real world, your DNA combined! With proper provoking, SkullGreymon could take over again!

Ceya gasped. "What!?"

But Dobermon was gone. His red eyes no longer gleamed in her mind.

Ceya opened her eyes and closed them again. Gone.

She stormed out of her room. "Wolfie! We have some business to take care of!"

ShadowWereGarurumon turned from a fist fight with Kaez's WereGarurumon. ShadowWereGarurumon jumped out of the way, causing WereGarurumon to stumble forward when he attempted to punch.

Ceya pushed her Digivice skyward. "Tsukaimon! Let's take down this guy once and for all!"
