"Ow!"

Ceya jumped from the wall, holding her pounding head. She rubbed it, fingers digging into her scalp.

"You were the one who kept banging your head against the rocks," Tay pointed out.

Ceya glared at her, eyes narrowed. "I don't see you even trying to get us out of here."

"That makes all of us then," Gatomon said, standing from the stony ground.

Sam sighed. "I'm worried about them. Those guys didn't look weak."

Dracomon squeezed his hand in comfort. "They'll be okay."

Sam felt his squeeze, but some part of him didn't believe it.

Fumiko felt a surge of warmth as her crest flew to her. Her hair flapped in some unfelt breeze as the crest wrapped around her neck. "Can we get back to the others now?"

Since separating, the group had come across a flat, grassy area with nothing different for miles. The area seemed rather dull, despite the lush green color.

"I expected you to be happier about finding your crest," Kaez said, crossing her arms.

"I am happy. I just have a bad feeling about this," Fumiko replied.

"Then let's just go back then," Jimmee shrugged.

"I think that may actually be a good idea," Anna agreed.

"Then off we go," Maia said, breaking into a sprint.

-----

Raegan groaned as she stared down MarineDevimon. Zudomon X had gone off somewhere, to where was unknown.

Kyle cued IceDevimon to attack, and he followed without hesitation."Avalanche Claw!" The ice struck MarineDevimon like needles, piercing his tough exterior.

MarineDevimon grunted. "My target isn't present, so this is pointless."

MarineDevimon shrunk into the roaring sea, leaving no traces of the battle other than the scattered rocks.

Kyle sighed. Coward. He felt Raegan's hand on his shoulder a second later, making his hate for the Digimon vanish.

"Do you know where the others are?" she asked intensely.

Kyle shook his head. "No."

Raegan looked around frantically, hitting Kyle in the face with her ponytails in the process. The girl didn't notice at all, seeing the pile of rocks in front of the cave entrance.

Lucemon chased her as Raegan sprinted for the pile of rocks. The angel closed his eyes, and the rocks blocking the cave began piling up on either side.

"I want to go home more than anything now," Raegan whispered. She grabbed at a small rock and flung it into a pile angrily. Stupid Shadow Reigners.

Kyle caught onto her distress and began pulling at rocks as well. IceDevimon followed. Kyle was also nervous, but masked it well. Was he supposed to be emotionless and speaking in a monotone about his traveling companions? He didn't think so. Especially after noticing how steamed his friend had seemed.

When the rocks were about halfway cleared, Raegan sat down tiredly. She wasn't meant for this heavy lifting at all.

Kyle sat down next to her. "Worried?"

Raegan nodded. "It doesn't take a genius to figure that one out."

"People have actually called me a genius before," Kyle smirked, trying to press a smile from her lips.
