Melissa started cooking some ramen and was already questioning how this happened to Izumi.

"You got a quirk in America? Did someone in America hit you with this kind of quirk?" Melissa asked.

"No... actually it's a bit more complex than that. Before I started my first year in high school, in America, All Might took me to this lab where the scientists there test quirkless people to see if they can manage having a quirk." Izumi said.

"So you were a test subject?"

"Pretty much, they injected this quirk into my body and waited for the results to come. My quirk ended up getting activated when I started high school, and I shifted into a cat! I had to be absent from school for a few days because I couldn't control my new quirk." Izumi said.

"So then, does that mean you can't control your quirk now? How did this happen?" Melissa asked.

"Earlier today, I accidentally activated my quirk when I tried to save someone. Seems the same results that happened to me in high school are coming back. I guess it's only doing this because I haven't activated my quirk in 2 years." Izumi said.

"Wait- you haven't used your quirk in the past 2 years, why?" Melissa asked.

"Because... 2 years ago I got into a bad accident in America." Izumi said.

"Oh that's right, I forgot Uncle Might told me about that. Is there a way to deactivate your quirk now?" Melissa asked.

"I used to take medicine to control my quirk for me, but since I've had my quirk deactivated for 2 years, my medicine won't work. I actually don't remember how to deactivate my quirk. And I will feel so embarrassed if I look like this at work! Especially since your dad gave me this new project to take! Why did everything have to get so difficult!?!?" Izumi said.

"Calm down, Izumi, it's not that bad. I think you look cuter with cat ears and a tail." Melissa said.

"That's not really helping..."

"I'm sure Uncle Might can help you with your situation." Melissa said.

"How? All Might just went overseas and I don't know when he's coming back!" Izumi said.

"Then how about I tell my dad about your situation? I'm sure he'll understand, and you can just remain in your office the entire time you're working. And I'm sure my dad will try to find a doctor that can help your situation and find a new medicine that will help deactivate your quirk." Melissa said.

"You really think this'll work?"

"Absolutely, and I can take care of your new project for you. Do you remember how many heroes you got today?" Melissa asked.

"Ah- let's see..." Izumi had to think.

"I only went to one agency, and it just happened to be Shoto's agency..."

"You went to Shoto's agency?!?! There's over a hundred heroes in there! Does that mean you met 100 heroes already?" Melissa asked.

"I'm not sure... I left my notebook at my apartment, but I'm sure I can look at it tomorrow."

"You're so lucky Izumi, I'm kinda jealous." Melissa said.

"What? Why?"

"Because you have the Number 1 and 2 heroes constantly around you. Don't you think those two might be competing for you?" Melissa said.

"W-Why would you say that!?!?" Izumi said.

Melissa just started laughing.

"What's so funny now?"
