47: Trauma

"So you haven't had that nightmare ever since?" Emra asked. 

"Yeah, it's been weird ever since I activated my quirk. I've turned into a cat a few times too, but I have been able to control my emotions before my ears and tail appear." Izumi said. 

"Can you tell me what kind of example that has caused your ears and tail to do this?" Emra asked. 

"W-Well..."

Izumi had to go in deep thought and went straight to when she and Katsuki went to his mom's house and Katsuki seemed awful close to her. Her face turned bright red and her ears and tail started twitching again. 

"I'm assuming it was something embarrassing as your ears and tail are acting like that." Emra said casually.

Izumi explained everything in detail from how this all started back when she and Katsuki met for the first time since Junior High. 

"So the same day you met him, he ended up getting drunk and you just so happened to see him drunk along with some of his friends. You decided to have him sleep at your place for the night, and in the end, he was so drunk that he kissed you? That's when all of this started, am I missing anything?" Emra asked. 

"N-No, you're right on it." Izumi said, she felt embarrassed talking about this. 

"Not just that, but there's a second guy who is also trying to hit on you, am I correct?" Emra asked.

"S-Shoto's not hitting on me! Kendra's telling you the wrong thing!" Izumi yelled. 

"Okay, and if I'm correct, you told me the Number 1 hero; Dynamite, was your old childhood friend. And he's also hitting on you. I'm sensing a love triangle here." Emra said calmly. 

"I-It's not like that! Both of them are really nice and have been helping me out a lot! They just happen to get involved in my problems... that's all..." Izumi said. 

"Well I can't really believe anyone unless I see this in person, so I will come to your workplace with you tomorrow." Emra said.

"E-Emra, you don't need to do that! It'll get in the way of why you actually came here!" 

"No it won't, and I would like to see your workplace in general. I just want to make sure you're working in a safe environment that you told me about." Emra said. 

"O-Okay... but I do wake up early to get to work." Izumi said. 

"That's fine, I'm a morning person." Emra said, finishing her tea. 

"Now then, we need to go to the market." Emra said. 

"Ah- any reason for that?" Izumi asked. 

"Because I could already tell that you don't have any food for dinner, and I don't want take-out. So I'll make dinner." Emra said. 

"But Emra, you shouldn't do that! You just came to Japan today and you're my guest." 

"I know you can't cook and you'll just hurt yourself, that's just judging from your hand." Emra said, pointing at Izumi's left hand and at the small cut she made a few days ago. 

"O-Oh that..." 

"C'mon, I'll need some help from my cousin." Emra said, grabbing her shoes.

The two greenettes went to the market and grabbed a good portion of things and ended up carrying more than they should. They headed back to the apartment complex and Emra took care of everything for Izumi. 

"E-Emra, I can handle cleaning this up." 

"You need to take a shower, you've had a long day from what it looks like. I'll start making dinner." Emra said.
