After an entire week of waiting, Izumi finally woke up to see herself in the hospital.
Her eyes felt tired and her body was incredibly sore. She tried to turn her head and saw her mom, Inko on one side, and Emra on both sides of the bed.
'What happened... to me...?' she thought.
She shook her left hand and tried to wake up both her mom and cousin. When both of them came to, at first they were still tired, but were shocked to see Izumi was awake.
"Izuku, you're awake!!!" Inko cried, hugging her daughter with relief.
"Mom... Emra..." Izumi could feel her mother's warmth and felt safe.
When Inko released her daughter, Izumi looked up at Emra.
"There are some things that we need to discuss with you before you start to get confused. This is all for your safety." Emra said, Izumi nodded.
Katsuki laid in bed and though he'd recovered from hypothermia, the constant thought and image of Izumi in that hospital bed hurt his chest. It was dark and dreary in that house, but it was the only place he could go.
It was their home.
He heard the echoing of his phone ringing close to his ear, he didn't want to answer.
He tried to grab his phone and looked at it to see it was a phone call coming from Takashi. He didn't really think of what Takashi was going to say and just answered it.
"What is it?"
"It's Izumi, she's awake."
Katsuki froze when he heard those simple words. He sat up from the bed and jumped to his feet.
"What? She is?!?!?"
"Yes but... there is something that I know that will hurt you." Takashi said.
"What? What're you talking about?" Katsuki yelled.
"Izumi... has Amnesia." Katsuki froze.
"H-How bad is it?"
"It seems to be that she's lost all memories of the past 2 years. She believes she is waking up from her previous accident that was back in America." Takashi said.
"So that means..."
"Izumi has forgotten about you."
That's when he felt his stomach drop and he soon dropped to his knees.
"We'd asked her what she last remembered and she told us about her incident from America 2 years ago. We asked her if she knew anything about being a hero in Japan, and she has no recollection of it. We didn't want to force her to try and remember anything that was very recent, which means she has Amnesia. The unfortunate thing about this... she will have to return back to America to recover from the memory loss, and who knows when she will see you again." Takashi said.
Katsuki couldn't believe this, everything that he was so desperate to work together, was falling apart before his very eyes.
He had lost his childhood friend, again.
Soon after the call ended with Takashi, there was a loud knock on the door and Katsuki was trying to ignore it.
But when the knocking continued, he had to answer the door.
"What do you-" He froze to see Emra standing at his front door.
"Hah- I'm sure I'm one of the last people you want to see, but can I please come in and talk to you?" Emra asked.
