129: Hello Stranger

Two weeks have passed and Izumi is now taking the role as Assistant Director, which meant she was involved in more meetings, more projects, and certainly overtime. 

She sat down at her desk and felt exhausted, she hadn't been this tired from work since she started working there on her first day.

"Aw man, it makes sense why the Assistant Director was always staying after work when I left, this is a lot harder. It doesn't help that my arm is still in a cast, but I'm so close to getting it off. Which means I'll have to wake up early enough just to get more work done. And knowing that the Assistant Director would work on Saturday's doesn't help me either, that's when I could spend time with Kacchan... Kacchan- maybe he's free to talk." Izumi said, pulling out her phone. 

She dialed his phone number and waited for an answer. 

"Yeah?" 

"K-Kacchan? Are you there?"

Katsuki jumped from his bed as he realized it was Izumi's voice, he literally answered the phone without knowing who it was. 

"D-Deku! Is there something wrong?" Katsuki said. 

"Ah- n-no! I just thought you weren't busy, so I wanted to call you. I haven't called you in a while, and I had some free time, so I wanted to... hear your voice." Izumi muttered. Katsuki rubbed his eyes and let out a loud sigh. 

"I was in the middle of taking a nap-" 

"W-Were you, I'm sorry! I can call you later when you aren't busy-" 

"I'm not busy, so don't hang up!" Katsuki yelled.

"O-Oh okay... but you do sound tired." Izumi said. 

"Tell me about it, I've only gotten 3 hours of sleep." Katsuki said. 

"Hmm, well then when you come back home, I will make sure you get your 8 hours of sleep." Izumi said. 

"Tch- I'm fine." Katsuki said. 

"No you're not, and you need to make sure you're eating properly too." Izumi said. 

Katsuki smiled, just hearing her voice made him feel all warm and fuzzy. He laid back down with the phone laying next to his ear. 

"You can keep saying that you're fine, when I know you, Kacchan. You are in a bad mood when you don't get-"

"Oi- Izuku." Izumi froze. 

"Y-Yes?" 

"Tell me more about you right now." Katsuki whispered. 

"A-About me? Like what?" 

"Like what have you been doing while I've been gone. What do you think about, what do you eat... stuff like that." Katsuki said slowly. 

"W-Why do you want to know that stuff, Kacchan?" Izumi asked. 

"I just want to hear your voice..." Izumi felt butterflies in her stomach. 

"Y-You do?" 

"Mhm." 

Izumi didn't know what to do, but she took a deep breath. 

"W-Well... I've been pretty busy with my new position, new projects have been coming up and I'm still not used to this new office. I will have to show you around my office when you come back." Izumi said.

"What have you been eating?" Katsuki asked. 

"U-Um, nothing great really, a lot of Ramen, and some other takeout foods. Haven't been able to make anything since I still have a cast on my arm." Izumi said.
