"It seems you've finally awoken, Miss Flame."

( Back to Present )

Emra pulled out her phone and pulled up a picture and handed the phone to Izumi.

"That was what I looked like the moment I woke up." Emra said.

Izumi was shocked when she saw the picture, it was Emra with bandages wrapped where her right arm and right leg would've been as well as an eye patch covering her right eye.

"Because of the car crashing straight into me, I tried using all my strength to turn it away. However, because I didn't use my quirk, this was the end result, as some of the mechanical parts of the car crashed into me and severed my limbs. I was in a coma for about 3 months and woke up to see myself look like that. I was told that it would be safer for me to retire if I didn't want my body to get harmed any further. It took me 9 months to completely recover from the accident and I had to figure out what to do with my life at that point. Luckily, I had met Takashi, who supported me the entire time of my recovery and said I should try becoming a therapist. Though I had to study more into psychology, it worked well for me, and then a few years later, you tried to commit suicide." Emra said.

"Yeah. So... why did you do it?" Izumi asked.

"Do what?"

"Why did you fight those two when Kacchan could've-"

"Because I didn't want you to go through that kind of pain again." Emra said, Izumi froze.

"W-What?"

"Hah- I was wrong about Katsuki, you were right when you told me he changed." Emra said.

"But- what made you change your opinion on Kacchan?"

"After the fight... when we noticed you didn't take your medicine yet, Katsuki knew that right away. He saved you, I didn't. He really... really does care about in the way that I wanted you to be cared for." Emra said.

"Emra, you really-"

"Katsuki reminds me of myself, my younger self. When I was younger, I always thought I could do things on my own and be fine with it. But after my accident, I was wrong. I needed the help of those around me, and it changed me to be the person I am now. I told you I was not raised properly by the right kind of people. Those people treated me like wasted space, like I was a weapon that they thought they could get rid of at any time. But after meeting you and Aunt Inko, I realized you were my real family, and I wanted to protect my family." Emra said.

Emra stood up from her chair and carefully grabbed Izumi's right hand and looked into her cousin's eyes.

"Katsuki needs you as much as you need him, and I completely approve of him being by your side. You just need to know that if you stay with him, you have to be prepared for anything that comes. I'm not saying Katsuki is a dangerous person, I'm saying everyone else around you can and will be dangerous." Emra said.

Izumi felt so much warmth from Emra's hand and tears were streaming down her face.

"Emra... you don't know how happy I am to hear you say that!" Izumi said and hugged her cousin.

Katsuki stood right outside the door and wasn't sure if this was real or if it was a dream.

( Flashback )

Katsuki came back to the hospital after talking to the press and the police all afternoon, he was practically done with dealing with people. He was about to enter Izumi's hospital room, but the idea of guilt showered him, he didn't want to see her in so much pain.
