117: Can't Stop Me

The day arrived, and Izumi had to dress in her business suit and look professional even with a sling holding her left arm. 

"Are you prepared for today?" Emra asked. Izumi turned her head to see Emra was holding a tie and was going to tie it around her neck. 

"Yes, I know what I'm going to say today." Izumi said, holding her head up from Emra. 

"There, now I'll be there the entire time to make sure everything doesn't get chaotic this time." Emra said, Izumi nodded. 

"I know this will be hard for you and Katsuki, but I have plenty of friends that are willing to help if things don't turn out for you two." Emra said. Though Emra had no idea how Izumi's mind had changed after learning some things about her family, Izumi was not going to hide anymore. 

"Okay." Izumi said.

Both greenettes got to the facility and some of the scientists were surprised to see Izumi looked confident in a business suit with a broken arm. Melissa saw Izumi and ran up to her. 

"Izumi, you... you're here!" 

"Yes, and I will clear things up this time." Izumi said. 

"Okay... the live broadcast starts in 30 minutes, are you sure you'll be okay with doing this?" Melissa asked. 

"I can do it, I have to make up for my mistakes from the past. I won't fail this time." Izumi said. Though Melissa was worried, she could tell something had changed about Izumi, but she wasn't sure exactly what it was.

Katsuki got there in time, but had to hide from everyone's sight as Takashi was with him eyeing everything out. 

"There's Izumi, so she actually showed up, that's good." Takashi said. Katsuki looked where Takashi was and was surprised to see how much different she looked, it was a good different. 

"Let's just hope nothing bad comes from this press conference like last time." Takashi said.

Izumi had to take a few deep breaths thinking about everything that Melanie told her. 

"Do not let society try to control you from what you want." 

'I have to make things right this time. I won't fail.' Izumi thought. 

"You will say this is all a lie, correct?" David asked. 

"Yes sir, I will not talk about the truth." Izumi said. 

"Good, let's see if you can deliver this time." David said, walking away from her. Izumi wasn't as nervous this time though, she felt fine even with so much pressure coming towards her.

She stepped onto the stage and took to the podium with her notes in her hand. She looked around, saw Emra and Takashi standing in the back, along with Melissa and David standing a few feet away from them. 

"Hello everyone, my name is Izumi Midoriya, and it is an honor to speak to all of you here today. I want to first and foremost apologize as to what happened a few days ago, as there was an attack from the League of Villains. As you can see, I was injured in the process, but I refuse to not speak about why I came here to speak to you all today." Izumi said as she took a bow to the press.

Izumi looked down at her notes and took a deep breath. 

"I came here most importantly to give my formal presentation of our Number 1 hero; Dynamite's new suit. It was a major project that I was given the task to do, and I feel honored to have done this for such an amazing hero. So I would like to start where I left off from the last time and begin again and go into the details of this newly designed suit that I have created. Unfortunately, the only person that is not here for this presentation is our Number 1 hero himself. He is currently busy with his hero activities and we couldn't take part of his time to do this again." Izumi said and went to the next page of her notes.
