Katsuki ended up leaving the hospital and went back to his agency, though he wasn't sure why he went there of all places.
'She's sick... but she looks so strong. She's been doing this for 2 years and All Might knew. What kind of accident was it that led to this?' he thought.
He sat in his chair for hours, thinking of all the possibilities, but then again he would get worried.
He kept getting the thought that he should go back to the hospital, but then he would talk himself out of it because he didn't want to see that side of her. He ended up sleeping in his office for the night.
The next morning came and Katsuki didn't get much sleep.
He couldn't help but worry, but he kept trying to tell himself not to go to the hospital. Just when he tried to start working again, his phone rang.
He slowly answered it, not even knowing who it was.
"Is this Katsuki Bakugo, or Dynamite?"
"Yeah, who's this?"
"I'm the nurse in charge of looking after Izumi Midoriya. We were told you are her guardian and to call you right away when she recovered consciousness." the voice said. Katsuki jumped from his chair.
"What!?!?! She's awake!?!?"
"Yes, and luckily her fever broke in the middle of the night. But we wanted to make sure until the morning came. You are welcome to come and see her today." the nurse said.
Once he heard that, he hung up the phone and ran out the door.
He arrived at the hospital, only to All Might in the lobby.
"All Might..."
"Good morning, Young Bakugo. The nurse said Young Midoriya is awake, and they said she is welcome to be discharged from the hospital." All Might said.
Both of them walked into the room and he froze when she saw she was awake. Though it was for a day, it felt like an eternity since he last saw her.
"Morning, Young Midoriya."
"All Might, and... Dynamite!?!? What are you doing here?" she said, Katsuki got pissed.
"Why the hell should I not be here!?!? I was the one who carried you here in the first place!!!" he yelled.
"Both of you calm down, Young Midoriya, you will be discharged today. Luckily because Young Bakugo was there, he managed to save you from a terrible seizure." All Might said.
"Oh... I see..." she said.
All Might tried to think of what to say to break the silence, that's when he had a plan.
"Young Bakugo, I have a request." All Might said.
"With what?"
"You must watch and take care of Young Midoriya until she has managed to get back to work. She should at least be off for a week to recover from this incident. So you should be there at all times to make sure she doesn't push herself too much." All Might said.
Both of them went wide-eyed.
"I-" "He-" "Taking care of me/her?!?!" they both yelled.
"That's right, it seems as though you feel a bit of guilt when this happened, Young Bakugo. I'm giving you the chance to redeem yourself and watch over Young Midoriya, just for a few days." All Might said.
