162: Wanna Be Myself

"So then you mean-" 

"I don't have a right arm or real legs anymore." Izumi said with a soft smile.

"What?!?! Did Midoriya really say that?!?!?" Kirishima yelled.

 "Shush, I'm trying to listen!" Mina said, shoving her hand in his face.

"Because my body took a large toll, the doctors had to deactivate my quirk just so no harm would be further done to my body. So, I had to retire from doing anymore hero activity." Izumi said. 

"Was your recovery very long?" 

"It took a little over a year for me to completely recover from my accident, and then I managed to get a job as a scientist on I-Island." Izumi said. 

"Was it strange for you to have to change your lifestyle completely from what it was before?" Sophie asked.

"At first it was, but because I was pushing myself to get through work, everything worked perfectly fine. A high school friend of mine was the one who designed prosthetic limbs for me just so I could get back to daily life again. She's the same person who's helped my cousin with her limbs as well." Izumi said.

"I see, now this might be a bit of a shift from what we were just talking about, but we have research saying that you became a suit designer and eventually got the chance to design Dynamite's new suit?" Sophie asked. 

"Hah- that was a roller coaster of itself, as Dynamite was very determined that he didn't need or want a new suit. It didn't help that he didn't recognize me when we met after not seeing each other for over 5 years." Izumi said happily. 

"But you two soon did recognize each other, was that before or after he finally gave in to getting a new suit?" Sophie asked. 

"It was before he recognized me actually, we just happened to make a little deal that I would be his 'girlfriend' to make his mother happy. Little did we realize that the fake relationship became real, but we're both very happy!" Izumi said.

"It seems the two of you have gone through a lot of hardships for having such a short relationship as of right now. He was hospitalized for 2 weeks, following that, you were in the hospital after a villain attack. And just recently, you were unfortunately sexually harassed and assaulted by my now ex-husband." Sophie said. 

"Yes, that did happened." Izumi said. 

"I know it might be uncomfortable for you to speak about it, and we don't have to talk about the scene if you don't want to." Sophie said. 

"I'd like to talk about it actually, I need to clear this out and make sure everyone sees it the way I did." Izumi said.

Izumi went into full detail about everything that happened the day Rin attacked her in the dressing room. How she accidentally left her phone call with Katsuki on speaker and did not end the call. How she tried to fight back Rin's aggressive behavior and his inappropriate remarks. How she tried to escape from him and how Katsuki found her. 

"Dynamite was the one who found you?" 

"Yes, because he knew right away that something was wrong the second he heard that phone call. He wanted to make sure I was safe and unharmed after the incident. He... protected me." Izumi said.

Izumi went on with how everything went in the courtroom and how Rin was speaking rash and pretty rude towards her and the judge. 

"Being in a room filled with unknown people was scary at first, but knowing that such a man would make claims against me that I was the one who attacked him was what bothered me." Izumi said.
