159: I Like It

After taking a quick visit to the market, Katsuki and Izumi came back with everything. 

"We're back!" Izumi yelled, as soon as she turned back to normal. 

"Any problems with your quirk, Izuku?" Inko asked. 

"Nope! I've been managing my quirk pretty well recently!" Izumi said happily. 

"Izumi! When did you get a quirk? I thought you were born without one!" Mitsuki said, looking desperate at Izumi. 

"Hm, you're right, I wasn't born with one. I got one in America." Izumi said.

"They made you become a test subject just so you could get a quirk?!?! Doesn't that sound dangerous?!?!?" Mitsuki yelled. 

Katsuki had already finished making dinner, but Mitsuki was still shocked about Izumi's quirk. 

"So how did you find out about your quirk?" 

"Oh that, I accidentally turned into a cat on the first day of school. I had no idea how to turn back, so I just dealt with it until I could control it again." Izumi said. 

"That does make sense thinking back to how timid you were as a kid." Mitsuki said. 

"Timid?"

"The old hag means you were a scaredy cat." Katsuki said. 

"Katsuki, use your manners!!!" Mitsuki yelled. 

"Now that I think about it, I was a bit of a scaredy cat wasn't I?" Izumi said happily. 

"Geez, you're already forgetting how we met, aren't you?" Katsuki said. 

"What? How could I forget how we met? I remember I didn't want to go home after meeting you, Kacchan!" Izumi said. 

"I think we remember it better than you two." Inko said. 

"Huh?"

( Flashback )

"Izuku, your mother's here to pick you up!" the caretaker said. 

"Oh- that means I can't play with Kacchan..." 

"It's okay Izuku, you'll get to see Katsuki tomorrow." the caretaker said. 

"Really?" 

"Yes, right Katsuki?" 

"Uh huh! You and me can do more tomorrow!" Katsuki said. 

"I can't wait! Bye Kacchan!" Izumi yelled, running to her mom, Inko.

"Mommy!!!" 

"Izuku! You're looking pretty cheerful, did something good happen today?" Inko asked. 

"Yeah, I got a new friend!" Izumi yelled. 

"You did, what's their name?" 

"Ka-... Ka-chuu-ki..." 

"Hm? That doesn't sound right, are you sure that was their name?" Inko asked. 

"I-I can't say his name yet! But it's Ka-chuu-ki!" Izumi said. 

"Mmmh, do you mean Katsuki?" 

"Yeah! That one! He's my new best friend even though I just met him today!" Izumi said happily. Inko hadn't seen her daughter so happy about meeting someone new so fast. 

"Did you have fun playing with him then?" 

"Uh huh! And I want to play with him tomorrow!" Izumi said.
