Weekly Update: Not a Chapter!

Hello fellow readers; another Weekly Update here!

This is week 10 of me posting this fanfic, and might I say that I am proud that there is has been over a 1000 views on my fanfic! I know there are some writers that think 1000 is not a big deal, but to me it's huge! I have been trying to find a website to post all of my stories for the past 2 years! Though this is a fanfic and not a story that I created from scratch, I still brought in my own characters to this fanfic because I will eventually post my own stories.

I've actually been writing stories for the past 8 years, and in the past 8 years my writing has changed a lot from when it first started. Not only that, but I've said this before that this is the first time I'm writing Romance. Now my own stories kind of do have romance of their own, but it's not the entire plot of the story. 

I actually write in the genre of Fantasy and magic. 

Ever since I was a kid, I always had this big imagination involving magic and things that are not real. One thing that I will admit about myself is that I used to talk to myself when I was a kid and kind of make a game out of that. I will admit that I still talk to myself when it comes to creating a specific scene in one of my stories too.

Last year felt like a big step up for me because I had decided to created 5 more stories with plots all because it was during the time I was quarantined from work. Though I have been writing for 8 years, only 1 of my stories is one that I have been writing for 8 years while the other 5 came as a new idea last year. 

Ironically the 1 story that I have been writing for the past 8 years is about a girl named Emra Flame. Now I will post that story eventually, just not yet, because I want to finish writing this fanfic and make a few more fanfics first, but we'll see. 

To be honest, the story that Emra Flame is in originally is very dark and serious because it deals with demons, and Emra in this story is a Demon Hunter. Her story deals with some very serious stuff, including trauma and disorders and even dysfunctionality. I also try not to sugar coat things when it comes to explaining a scene or what has happened to one of my characters. 

Another thing is that I am used to writing fight/action scenes, I've been writing them for 8 years, so my writing for that kind of stuff is pretty polished. This is why in a few chapters of this fanfic you will notice that the chapter takes a more serious approach. You might also notice in this fanfic that I don't usually use a lot of jokes. I don't make jokes or funny scenes usually, so trying to write something funny in this fanfic specifically is weird to me. 

I have a lot of creativity and I want to try and continue making other people read and enjoy what I write. Not all of my stuff can be amusing, but it's good to know that there are people out there that love what I write and can imagine it the same way I can. 

I have said this before, but I do not like when other writers post 1 chapter a week. I cannot stand it because then I have to wait for who knows how long until that writer can make another chapter. I try and post daily because I want my audience to read and want more. 

We are actually more than halfway done with this fanfic, it's just hard when I think of last minute scenes that I want to add, so that is why this fanfic is so long. I think what's funny about this is the fact that this fanfic so far has 125 chapters, when a usual fanfic is about 20 to 60 chapters. I don't know, I think that many chapters are not enough to express what I see in my head. Also there are writers out there that have about 600 to 800 words per chapter, meanwhile I'm sitting here giving you almost 2500 words per chapter. I think what is funny the most is that when you look up how long it takes to read this fanfic specifically, it takes about 20 hours to read while there are other fanfics that take up to 4 hours to read. Sorry I like to write, but I like long stories. 

Don't think there will be any fluff or smut this week, still haven't decided yet, but I will still be giving you guys warnings on when they do happen!

I've said before but I am planning on creating a sequel to this fanfic, but it will most likely not be done until later on down the road. The sequel is inspired by a twitter artist; @x_hchicbee, I talked about their artwork in the last Weekly Update I think, so if you haven't seen their art, please go check it out!

I have told you guys before that I write my stories on a Google doc first and then copy and paste onto here. That being said, this fanfic on a google doc is up to 340 pages, that proves just how much I write!

I will still be using songs names as titles, I've been enjoying it because it gives you guys a listen as to what I like to listen to and how some songs give me inspiration while I'm writing. 

Do not be afraid to comment on chapters, it gives me feedback about things that I should do in the future. That and it pushes me to want to give you guys more. 

I've said it practically 100 times now, but I would love to see someone draw some of these scenes from this fanfic. 

Hope I didn't ramble on too much in this Weekly Update, I just wanted you guys to know a little bit more about me. My goal of finishing this fanfic by the end of the summer is still going strong, so I hope you guys are still enjoying it!
