CHAPTER 1--ashleys pov
The last thing I remembered was ruuning. I was running from a monster who kept saying something about "energems", whatever those were. Then everything went dark. "Are you ok?" Someone asked me. My eyes were still closed from what I'm pretty sure was a concussion. "Ya, ya I think so," I replied. I opened my eyes to see a boy around my age (17) staring back at me with beautiful green eyes. "What's your name?" he asked.
"Ashely. My name is Ashley. Who....who are you?" I replied. "My name is Riley. Come on, let's get you out of here." He put his hand out toward me, signaling for me to grab it so he could help me up. I know it might seem like a strange thing ask a complete stranger, but it's the first thing that came to my mind. "Am I dreaming?" He smiled, and it seemed as though, for that couple of seconds, everything stopped. No more fighting, or hunger, or global warming. Everything was perfect.
"No you're not dreaming. You were just knocked out for a little bit. Can you tell me what happened here?" Just as I was about to answer, a voice started talking.....from his pocket? He took out a communication device and i just decided to call it an extremely futuristic cell phone. "Riley, Riley where are you? We need your help downtown. Get here as fast as you can."
A/N since my phone is messed up, all of the chapters are just gonna be on one part, only separated by authors notes.....authors note for chapter one....awwwwww Riley is so nice
