Mira Proposal

"Only one way, huh,?" Adam says to himself while he stares out of the classroom window.
"Mr. Lot!" The teacher says smacking him on the head with his textbook.
"Sir?" Adam asks looking at his teacher.
"Can you perhaps tell me what the three main reasons were that humanity fell?" The teacher asks clearly annoyed.
"Yes sir. They were the virus that only targeted humans, political and civil unrest as well as constant war and skyrocketing crime rates." Adam replies without batting an eye.
"That is correct." The teacher comments looking shocked. But he then goes back to giving his lesson.
And Adam goes back to staring out the window.
Why would Ben go out of his way to warn him? And if the person he was talking to was really Lilith, does that mean she was lying about the lab?
He knew she was being honest about him being a genetic experiment. Afterall, the doctors have always said that something was off about his genetic structure.
He felt so confused about so many things.
But, for now, there was one specific problem he had to focus on. The full moon was tomorrow night so he only had today to do what be could.
After school he didn't notice that some students were glaring at him. One specific pretty boy in particular.
Once home he goes straight to his room and falls face first onto the bed.
A few minutes later he hears someone knock on the door.
"Come in." He says standing up from his bed.
It's Mira.
"Hey." He greets her.
"Hey." She awkwardly greets back as she sits down on the bed next to him.
"I wanted to ask. What's been bothering you lately?" She asks looking down at her feet.
He then remembers that he hadn't really been talking to her all that much lately. In fact, he hasn't been giving any of the girls the attention they deserve.
So, he starts to tell her about everything. His genes, the marriage and even about Ben.
Once he's done the two of them sit quietly, neither even moving an inch.
"I love you." She suddenly says without any warning or context.
"W - what's with this all of a sudden?" Adam asks caught off guard.
"I haven't really been able to tell you, even though you're my boyfriend now. So I thought I'd tell you my true feelings now. And my true feelings are that I love you." She explains.
She then turns to look him in the eye before saying that she loves him a third time.
As they stare into each other's eyes, their lips meet and they share a kiss.
"Can I ask you something?" Adam asks grabbing her by the shoulders.
Feeling embarrassed she just nods.
"Will you marry me?" I asks, his face becoming serious.
"What's with this all of a sudden?!" She asks feeling even more embarrassed.
"I'm not saying we need to get married right away. I just want to know. Before the full moon." He says letting go of her.
"I see." She comments now understanding what he means.
For a few minutes the silence between them seems deafening, before Mira gives her answer.
"Yes. Yes, I will marry you."
When Adam looks at her he sees her smiling at him.
"I'm glad you said yes." He says smiling tenderly at her.
"I need to go see the others." He says leaving her.
He then goes to ask the other girls the same.
