Mother Of Demons

"Your telling me that if I kill you thousands die. And if I don't kill you everyone dies when that thing activates in thirty minutes." Adam asks, pointing towards the machine behind her.

"That's right. What will you do?" Lilith asks.

Adam and Henry then look at each other worriedly.

They're family was safe since they were currently some distance away from society. But that was not the case for other families.

"Whatever it takes?" Henry asks Adam.

"Whatever it takes." Adam replies with a nod.

Then the two of them aim their weapons at Lilith.

"Oh please." Lilith says. She then charges at them as they open fire.

But she simply takes all their rounds without even flinching.

Just as the two are about to reload she swipes her claws at Adam, cutting a deep gash into his forehead as he dodges.

Henry drops his weapon and engages Lilith in hand to hand combat, each with their claws out.

With his superior skill and strength, Henry is able to inflict serious wounds on Lilith.

Wounds she heals from instantly.

The wounds she inflicts on Henry however don't heal as quickly.

"You won't kill me like that. So long as my brain stem is intact I can heal from any wound." Lilith laughs while tapping at her head.

Then she jumps aside as Adam attempts an attack from behind her.

The two rush at Lilith to continue the fight. They know that their guns won't be able to hit her brain stem so they're going to try to cut it instead.

But like a dancer she evades all their attacks while trying to counterattack. Luckily their combined effort is enough to fend off most of her attacks.

"I'm here to help!" Ben shouts from behind them.

"My son. I'm disappointed in you." Lilith says, calmly.

"I am too. Which is why I'm washing my ledger clean with your blood." Ben replies.

"And if you die?" She asks him.

"Then it'll be retribution for the things I've done." He explains.

The three men then attack her at once.

This time with a smile on her face, she's deftly able to dodge all their attacks. Although this time she's unable to stricken back.

Before long Arthur and Seth join them. Each is trying to wear her down by shooting at her limbs.

Ten minutes later the roof is full of troops. But she kills them one by one as they take turns to rest while others attack.

"I have an idea." Adam says, glancing at his watch.

Five minutes left.

"Arthur. Can you lend me your Slayer?" Adam asks.

"Sure." Arthur responds, throwing something at Adam.

"Let's do this?" Adam shouts, charging at Lilith.

Him, Henry, Stella's father, Ben and Seth all strike at her simultaneously.

But still she avoids their attacks. Although, their combined skill is enough that she looks worried.

Still time passes.

Ten.

Henry strikes at one of her knees.

Nine.

Ben cuts one of her elbows.

Eight.

Arthur shoots her in the eye.

Seven.

Stella's father get's impaled by one of her claws but he grabs tight so that she can't move.

Five.

Seth grabs her other arm.

Four.

The soldiers around them use ropes to grab onto her. Her strength causes many of them to fall off of the roof.

Three.

Adam shoves a double barrel shotgun into her mouth, pointing it upwards at her brain.

Two.

"Get fucked!" He shouts, pulling both triggers at once.

Her entire head gets blown into tiny pieces.

One.

Lilith's heart stops beating and the machine turns off.

While this happens hundreds of smaller machines around the globe go off. This kills millions.

Adam, Henry, Seth and Ben collapse due to blood loss.

Stella's father is declared clinically dead.

But Lilith left message. She warned that others like her would appear so long as war, starvation, poverty and suffering existed.

She said that she was merely the beginning. Her children would take up her banner and fight again.

This world was still a long way from knowing peace.
