"What time will they be back?" Adam asks, taking a sip of coffee.

"They should be back in an hour or two." Cora replies.

"You seem tired." Cora comments while looking at him through half closed eyes.

"What do you expect. I've been having almost nonstop sex for a week straight. Of course I'm tired." Adam replies with a yawn.

"I'm sorry. This full moon was more intense than previous ones." She apologizes, chuckling.

"Maybe because this is the first full moon where you can actually do something about your frustrations." Adam says.

"Are you implying that it's going to be like this every full moon for the rest of our lives?" Cora playfully asks.

"Not implying. Stating. As a fact." He replies, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

"Did you at least enjoy it?" She asks, leaning forward and exposing her cleavage.

"I'm a hormonal teenager. Of course I did." He responds as his cheeks turn red.

"I assume our two foxes have already told you about their dream." Cora says after some silence.

"They have." Adam confirms.

Yes, both Sakura and Ichika have told them about their dream.

"Since they are part of the Amaterasu family they can have anything they want and more. High salary jobs, rich husbands, power, influence and luxury homes. But despite that, they don't want that life. They want to marry a kind man and then have children. They want to give life and then see that life grow up to eventually have their own children. Basically, they want fulfillment as females of the Anima race." Cora explains.

After taking a sip of her tea Cora continues.

"It's one of the many places we differ from human. Tell me, do you know the Bible story of creation?" Cora asks.

Adam replies with a nod.

"Well, we have the same story with a few key differences. One being the creation of us: Animas. The story goes that after the fall of man, God created us. His purpose for us was to act as a bridge between humanity and creation, hence why we are so obviously a hybrid species between humans and animals. But soon after we discovered the destructive nature of the human we his ourselves from their eyes. Even when the flood came we refused to make ourselves known, instead choosing to hide amongst the animals. For hundreds of years we lived in the undiscovered corners of the world where humans could never find us. And if they did find us we would pretend to be spirits and monsters. Until we eventually had to develop technologies that would hide out true appearance. It wasn't perfect, sometimes werewolf rumours would flare up but nobody ever took them seriously. And then the war came and everything changed." Cora ends her story.

Adam looks thoughtfully at the ceiling.

"They don't teach you that in school do they?" She asks.

"No they don't. Tell me. Do you believe that story?" He replies with a question of his own.

"I believe some of it. For starters, I do believe that we once acted as mediators between humanity and nature. And I also believe that it was we went into hiding due to the threat humanity posed to us." She responds.

All of a sudden someone rings the door bell.

"I'll get it." Adam says jumping up.

"What can I do for you?" Adam asks opening the door.

His face goes pale when he sees who it is.

"Mom?!" He says to the woman with her disheveled fur, sunken eyes and skeletal frame.

Without saying a word she falls forward, barely conscious. Luckily he's able to catch her.

"My baby." She whispers before losing consciousness.

(Sorry for the short chapter but this was just the natural end of the chapter from my point of view.)
