"So all we need to do is keep my blood out of her hands." Adam says.

"I'm afraid it's not that simple. She found a facility that houses human DNA. Unfortunately for her most of the DNA is almost unusable. That being said, they might be able to get enough of it in good enough condition that it can be used." Michael explains.

"And how long will that take?" Cora asks.

"If we take into consideration everything that needs to be set up I'd say we have about four months before she detonates. Possibly less, maybe more." Michael replies, after giving it some thought.

"So we don't have a lot of time." Cora comments.

"Give me a moment. I'm gonna call your father and see what intel he's got for us." Cora says, ushering them out.

As the three of them stand in awkward silence, Ichika goes to Adam.

"Hold me." She says turning her back on him.

With a smile on his face he pulls her in and folds his arms around her. She give a satisfied sigh as she leans against him.

"So, you two dating?" Michael asks.

"I'm his fiance." Ichika says when Adam doesn't reply.

"I see. Not what I expected." Michael comments.

"And what exactly did you expect?" Adam asks, sounding irritated.

"I always thought that you'd end up with Mira. She's always had the hots for you." Michael explains.

"Mira's my fiance too. In fact, every girl in this household, with the exception of Stella, Ruth and Eve, is my fiance." Adam lets him know.

"Oh. So have you, ya know, done it?" Michael asks.

"What an inappropriate question." Ichika comments, clicking her tongue.

"What's it to you? Have you done it?" Adam retorts.

"So you have. Well at least you don't have to jack off now. And for your information I have done it. Many many times with many different girls." Michael says.

"Liar." Ichika comments.

"I don't need you to tell me he's a virgin." Adam says with a chuckle just before he kisses Ichika on the head.

"Damn Kitsune. So, you got any tips?" Michael asks Adam.

"I don't know. As far as I know I didn't do anything special. You'll have to ask the girls why they said yes." Adam responds with a strained laugh. He really doesn't know what he did to deserve them.

"So, Kitsune, how'd he do it?" Michael asks, almost whispering.

"The name is Ichika. You can call me Lady Amaterasu." Ichika says, as if talking to a stain.

"I know who you are. I know your family very well. I just prefer to keep things casual. And can you please stop treating me like crap? I am your ally now." Michael says, sounding offended.

"That may be so, but you must still prove yourself to me. You may be telling the truth, but the possibility exists that you merely believe your telling the truth. So, I'll wait before I trust you. Surely you must understand that." Ichika explains, although not in a very friendly tone.

"Ok guys I just called Henry and it turns out they already know. They should get here tomorrow. What happened between you three?" Cora asks after opening the door.

"Someone's being a jealous puppy because he can't get a girlfriend." Adam scoffs.

"Yeah, whatever." Michael says, pouting.

"In any case, we should deal with the sleeping arrangements. Michael, we will be putting you and your female friend in the far wing with Seth, Stella and the children. The rest of us tend to make a lot of noise at night." Cora tells Michael.

"So what, you share a room with them too?" Michael asks Adam.

"A bed actually." Adam replies, knowing full well that he's currently flexing.

Michael is about to say something when Jessie calls for Adam from downstairs.

"On my way!" Adam shouts back, as he hears the distress in her voice.

Within moments he's downstairs. He immediately regrets it.

In front of the door, kneeling with her brother in her arms, is Jessie.

"Wake up." She pleads through tears as she strokes his face. The sheer amount of blood coming out of him almost makes Adam nauseous.

Then Adam spots Michael's expression.

"Does this make you angry? After all, he was your friend too." Adam asks.

"It pisses me off so much I want to fucking murder someone." Michael replies.

"Cora." Adam says.

"Yeah?" Cora asks, sounding worried.

"I think it's time for a trip. We have three months to prepare. See how large an army you can gather in that time. And watch the news. I doubt Eden will be able to make a move without it becoming public knowledge. After all, Lilith is arrogant enough to announce her plans ahead of time." Adam says, his eyes burning with rage.

Then he goes to Jessie and puts his hand on her shoulder saying; "I give you my word. I will avenge him. Even if it's the last thing I do."
