It's easy to take for granted, we drifted far apart, lost that belongingQuestioning each other, patience lacking, and understanding
Connection's frayed to breaking, misplaced feelings we once had at the beginning
Binding those together now, injecting those once both held feelings
A promise I'll make from this day forward that promise won't be broken
With respect to what we had, only true words to you will be spoken
Many nights I lay awake missing your every essence
Life without you suddenly turned into a death sentence
Agonizing pain down deep into my core
Wondering if forgiveness was something of no more
But then out of nowhere, you appeared out of the blue
Right in front of my eyes without a sign or clue
I found you once again as if the doors opened up in heavens
Can we get past our losses and pain that is my latest question?
I want to pick up where we last fell off and erase all the damage, I've caused
Forgive me please for all the lines I have sadly crossed
We are all humans and no one is ever perfect
I learned from my mistakes and ready to risk it all
Give you what you need, what you fiend, all that I got and even more
Because a love like ours is rare and something we should never reject
Water the roots of our love and put a lot of efforts
What I have felt for you was never a lie
And my shreds of evidence are my poems that rhyme for your eyes
I promise this time with every beat of my heart
To do my best for you because I can never see us falling apart
