"So, tell me a little more about yourself."
Hoseok smiles, leaning on his elbows. "Well, as you know, I'm a waiter. I like working at night, since I like being able to watch the sunrise when my shift ends. Let's see... I'm 27, my favourite colour is green, and I was born in Gwangju."
"When did you decide to move to Seoul?"
"When I finished 8th grade, I realised I wanted to become a dancer. So, after graduating high school, I packed up my stuff and moved out here to study. But things didn't really go to plan - my dad got really sick, so I dropped out to take care of him."
The elder male gives a slight frown and takes a sip of his drink. It's what he's been having every night for the past month or so, a decaf green tea, since he and Hoseok have come to the diner. Since it's where they met, they couldn't think of a more fitting place.
"Do you regret it?"
"A little, yeah. But my family's more important than anything, so I didn't mind. What about you?"
"I'm 28, I'm from Gwacheon, and I'm a model."
"Makes sense," Hoseok comments. "I mean, you're gorgeous."
Seokjin can't help but chuckle anxiously. "Thanks. I studied in France when I was 21, got some good experience in there, and then came back to Korea to work on my uncle's strawberry farm for a while. Eventually I decided I wanted to see more of the city, so I moved here."
The rest of the date goes without a hitch, eventually drawing to a close following a particularly riveting story of Seokjin's confusion between eggs and kiwis when he was in college.
"This has been fun." the brunet grins as he pulls his coat around him and exits the diner, the little bell jingling as he does. Seokjin follows him, and they both are greeted with a pleasant breeze as they step outside. "Walk me home?"
Jin nods. "Of course. Lead the way."
He takes the younger's hand, letting himself be led away from the diner. It's a rather peaceful walk, not many people about at this time of day, and is filled with joyful conversation and jokes. It's like they're known each other for years, even though it's only been about a month.
"Well, this is me." Hoseok shrugs as they come to the end of a little cul-de-sac, where a magnolia-painted house sits with a neatly-manicured lawn in front of it. The two of them make their way up the little cobblestone path and stop outside the front door, turning to face each other.
"Can I kiss you?"
Seokjin nods, letting the younger cup his chin to bring his face closer. Their lips touch in a soft, slow kiss, the entire thing creating a fluttering feeling in Seokjin's stomach. Despite it not being very long nor heated, he's panting slightly when they part, a glint in his eyes.
"How was that?"
"Yeah, I..." the blond whispers. "I-I liked it a lot."
"Good," Hoseok smiles, pecking his lips again. "I really liked seeing you today, Jin. Maybe we could do it again sometime?"
"O-Oh, yeah, o-of course." mumbles the other, feeling stupid for stuttering. He scratches the back of his neck and gives an anxious smile. "I-I'm free most nights, so anytime works."
His grin widening, Hoseok rakes a hand through his mocha-brown curls and steps a little closer to his front door, searching his pockets for his key.
"The date doesn't have to end here, y'know." he says, a smirk tugging at his lips. "We still have plenty of time left in the day, and my roommate isn't home, so..."
"I'd like that."
