Jin couldn't sleep. Just a few moments ago he dragged himself into the apartment, all the while complaining about how tired he was after a long day of shooting for his upcoming movie, but now he was just laying there with some strange force keeping him awake. Maybe it was anxiety, he thought. After all, in exactly four months, six days, seventeen minutes and 37 seconds (he'd been counting) he would be married, the name 'Kim' replaced by 'Min', that of his lover.
Ah, his lover. Aged 16 when they had first met seven years earlier, Min Yoongi was the definition of perfect. He had pale, porcelain-like skin, thin lips, a button nose and a pair of deep, brown eyes that resembled those of a feline. They'd met in Spain through a student exchange program, as both of them had been sent there from different schools, and become friends. When they returned to their respective schools, they would spend as much time as they could together. But with Yoongi living in Daegu and Seokjin in Seoul, and approximately 150 miles between them, it wasn't always easy.
Then Yoongi's graduation came. He'd had the regular school ceremony, then met up with Seokjin so they could celebrate together. It was nothing more than a casual affair, and both boys were ecstatic when they learned that Yoongi's parents were letting him move to Seoul so he could go to college. And it just so happened that Jin was going to the same one. The rest, they say, is history. Nobody knows who started the relationship, when it started, or why it started, but it started, and it was the best thing since sliced bread.
Jin smiled as he admired the sleeping younger. His lips that were pushed into a perfect little pout, slightly swollen from being pressed against the pillows. His eyes were closed and visibly relaxed. His soft cheeks weren't super chubby, but there was enough volume to squish them, and all in all his petite face was very malleable. Yoongi also had some pretty big muscles; when he wasn't working or sleeping, he'd be spending time in the gym to keep himself in shape.
He reached out to cup the latter male's cheek, using the pad of his thumb to lightly caress the delicate skin. The smile grew wider as he reminisced the past seven years, all the time he'd spent with the younger and how far they'd come not only in their relationship, but as people.
Yoongi smiled as he slept, nuzzling his nose into the elder's warm and tender touch.
"Good morning." he mumbled, his voice raspy and eyes only partially open. He brought one hand up to wrap it around his fiancé's wrist, squeezing it gently. Jin knew it meant lots of things, the main one being security.
"Morning, kitten." Seokjin whispered, pulling Yoongi closer to his chest and letting the younger male's chin rest on his shoulder.
"You're beautiful, you know that?" he continued, repeatedly running his fingers through his fiancé's silky blonde hair. Yoongi didn't respond, but let out an acknowledging hum that the elder assumed was a 'yes' to his question. Jin chuckled, feeling the younger become heavier in his arms as he began drifting off again, before soon also slipping away from the world of wake and into that of sleep.
So this was just a short fluff chapter that I felt like writing. I've been really unmotivated lately, but I realised this book needed an update so here we are. This'll likely be the last update to this book before I go away for a week (in 2 days) so I guess I'll see y'all in just over a week.
