Plot: Christmas is just two days away, and Seokjin's never felt more in spirit than he does this year.

Story:

A smile spread across his face, Seokjin rocks back and forth slightly as he reads his book, foot tapping on the floor. He doesn't know why, but this year he's just that much happier in the run-up to Christmas. He and his fiancé have spent hours putting up decorations and doing fun winter activities together, and day by day, he's started to feel even more in the festive spirit.

Paper garlands hang from the ceiling, strings of bright, colourful fairy lights line the outskirts of every room in the house, and every inch of space buzzes with festivity. And to make things even better, it's a white Christmas, with snow falling thick and fast to create a pure-white blanket across the yard.

"You sound so beautiful,"

Jin turns to see his boyfriend standing in the doorway, chuckling despite being confused. What he hadn't realised was that, as he was reading and letting himself become enveloped in the gentle, jovial music that filled the house, he was quietly singing to himself. Though apparently it wasn't so quietly, since Namjoon could hear it from the kitchen.

The black-haired gets up and makes his way over to the other male, letting a chaste kiss be planted upon his lips as their fingers intertwine. "I thought you were working," he says thoughtfully.

"Eh, I can leave it a few days." the taller smiles at him, lowering a hand so it rests on the downy woollen cardigan that trails halfway down Seokjin's thighs, right where his hip is, so he can pull him closer. "C'mon, dance with me."

Bodies together, the two of them sway gently to the soft piano melody that drifts through the pleasantly-warm air, staring deeply and affectionately into one another's eyes. They don't speak because they don't need to - all they need in this very moment is the music and themselves.

After a little while, the elder finds himself growing tired, so gives a sigh and rests his head on his soon-to-be husband's shoulder, eyes fluttering closed. "Hm," a small smile graces his lips as he inhales the latter's sweet scent. "You change your shampoo or something?"

"I did," Joon nods, his other hand pulling away from the shorter's and wrapping around the male's shoulder. "I'm using that cinnamon one you like now."

"Smells good."

The song ends, but subtly segues into another, and the younger gives a fond hum. "This song was playing when we first met, remember?"

"Mm,"

"You wanna sing it with me?"

"Last Christmas I gave you my heart
But the very next day, you gave it away
This year,
To save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

Once bitten and twice shy
I keep my distance but you still catch my eye
Tell me, baby, do you recognise me?
Well, it's been a year, it doesn't surprise me

Merry Christmas, I wrapped it up and sent it
With a note saying 'I love you', I meant it
Now I know what a fool I've been
But if you kissed me now, I know you'd fool me again

Last Christmas I gave you my heart
But the very next day, you gave it away
This year,
To save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

Last Christmas I gave you my heart
But the very next day, you gave it away
This year,
To save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

A crowded room and friends with tired eyes
I'm hiding from you and your soul of ice
My God, I thought you were someone to rely on
Me? I guess I was a shoulder to cry on

A face on a lover with a fire in his heart
A girl on a cover but you tore her apart
Maybe this year
Maybe this year I'll give it to someone special

'Cause last Christmas I gave you my heart
But the very next day, you gave it away
This year,
To save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

Last Christmas I gave you my heart
But the very next day, you gave it away
This year,
To save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

And last Christmas
And this year
It won't be anything like, anything like

Last Christmas I gave you my heart
But the very next day, you gave it away
This year,
To save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special."

Seokjin lifts his head back up, letting their eyes meet again, and leans in to kiss his fiancé's lips lovingly. "Merry Christmas, Joonie."

"Merry Christmas, Jin."
