An inconvenient attachment

Chapter 4

I get to my meeting just in time. The guy I'm paired with is fine, his name is James. He is very nice and all, but I just can't get my mind off that kiss. With my fingers I stroke my lips, recalling every bit of that kiss. His hands discovering my body, squeezing my ass, pulling me in closer, feeling his cock throbbing in-between my thighs, goosebumps all over my body. I know it would be better for me to just stay away from him, saving myself from heartbreak. But I don't know if I can stay away.

I get startled when I hear James talking.

"Mia, are you still there?" He smiles at me.

I shake my head to wake myself up a bit. "Yeah sorry, its been a long day" I say.

"Maybe we should do the tour of the school tomorrow? So you can go home and get some rest" he says. I nod. "Yeah, that would be great, thanks."

"Ok, awesome, meet you here at 10 am?"

"Sure, see you tomorrow" I say as I head out.

When I get to my apartment I feel like it's the middle of the night already. I walk in and see Kate sitting on the couch with her headphones on. Which I don't mind, because I don't feel like explaining why Lando Norris was in our apartment. When she sees me walking by she quickly takes of her headphones. "Had I known you had so much money I would have increased the prise" she jokes. "I don't have a lot of money" I answer.

"Maybe, but your boyfriends does" she chuckles. "He's not my boyfriend" I snap back. "Really? I wonder why he would buy you so much stuff then."

"Buy me stuff? What do you mean?" She can't possibly know about the phone. "I put it all in your room, didn't want all that crap laying around. Next time you expect packages, please be home yourself" she says as she puts her headphones back on. Packages? I didn't order anything. When I open my room I see two boxes laying on top of my bed. What the fuck is this? I open the first box. There's sheets, towels, blankets, a pillow and all kinds of stuff. Oh my god, how sweet, but I can't accept this. This is way to much. I take out my phone from my pocket and start texting Lando.

Me: You have to stop buying me stuff, I can't accept this!

He almost texts me back immediately.

Lando: Oh come on, I knew you needed it and figured you would be too tired to go to the mall after your meeting

Lando: How was it by the way?

Lando: Glad to see you still talk to me though, you had me a bit worried there

I laugh at my phone as I open the second box. Holy shit. You have got to be kidding me. In the box lays the iMac I was looking at in the phone store.

Me: Ok, I just opened the second box. It's clear, you have completely lost your mind.

Lando: Oh shut up, just accept it and say thank you

I throw my phone on the bed and roll my eyes. Another message comes in.

Lando: And stop rolling your fucking eyes at me

I laugh and get the iMac out of the box. I could really use a new laptop and I guess he has the money for it. It would be rude to just return it, right? Right. As soon as I'm done installing it I type in 'Lando Norris' on google. The first thing that pops up is a site with a title that says 'Lando Norris new girlfriend?' Dick, I didn't know he had a girlfriend. I click on the link. Oh my god, these are pictures of us together in the phone store! I quickly grab my phone and start messaging Lando.

Me: *sends link*

Me: What is this?!?!

Lando: Were you looking me up on google? That's cute

Me: Lando that is not the point! Why does it say I am your girlfriend!?

When he doesn't reply I start calling him. The first two times he doesn't pick up, ass. When he does finally pick up I immediately start talking. "Lando, what is this?! Who took.." I don't get to finish my sentence, because he cuts me off.

"I'm live-streaming on twitch right now, I'll call you after" he says and then he hangs up. What is twitch? I google it and Lando is the top twitch right now. I click on it and there he is. He's doing some war game with someone, but I only see the feet of the other person. I do recognize his voice, he was one of the guys Lando was having lunch with. I decide to text Lando again.

Me: Oh my god. Why did you pick up the phone when your on twitch? You idiot.

I watch the twitch stream and see Lando looking at his phone. He smiles and waves at the camera. I smile, what a dork.

"Is she watching?" the other guy ask teasingly. Lando nods and smiles at the camera. The comments go wild, all speculating who this mystery girl is. Just when the other guy starts talking about the comments, Lando cuts him off. "Shut up Max, lets just keep playing."

I watch the twitch stream as I decorate my room, I don't get the game but they seem to be having fun. And I just like listening to his voice. When the stream ends my phone immediately rings. Lando is face timing me.

"Did you unpack the box yet?"

I nod and turn the camera around to show him the room. "You didn't have to do that but it's very nice, thank you."

"You're welcome." He seems a bit shy now, but there was none of that when he kissed me. I feel my cheeks glowing. "What are you thinking about?" He looks at me suspiciously as if he can read my mind. I quickly change the subject.

"So, the website I send you, how did they get those pictures? And why do they assume I am your girlfriend?"

Lando laughs. "That's what these sites do. They'll write anything just to get a few more clicks" he says it like it's the most normal thing. Well, for him it is I guess. There are probably pictures like this coming out every month of him and a new girl. I feel my mood becoming sadder. Lando seems to notice.

"Well, and also they don't see me with a girl much so I guess they find that pretty exciting" he says the last part sarcastically.

I smile at him. "And here I thought you had loads of girls in your life."

"Nope, just you" he says cheerfully.
