"You can't say shit like that" I say giggling, referring to the whole Monaco thing. "I can't help it, I'm just happy you're moving to Monaco" Lando says, his arm still leaning on my shoulders as we walk back into the hotel. "Lando, it's still half a year away. And also.. I don't even know if they'll accept me or not."

"Of course they will, you have great grades and you're very good at what you do" Lando says.

"Which is?" I ask, eyebrows raised. He doesn't even know. "We'll get to hang out so much, imagine it" he says. "Yeah yeah" I laugh. I have to look out I don't bump into people, it's so busy here. I try to walk in front of Lando, but his arm holds me in place. "People will move" Lando says, he doesn't even sound cocky when he says it. He just knows people will move. Which they do.

"Oh shit, I forgot my key, hold on a minute. I'll quickly get an new one" Lando says, leaving me standing by the elevator. He runs back to the car. When the elevator doors open I step aside, letting the people out.

"Mia! Hey" Pierre says, walking out of the elevator. A smile appearing on his face. "Hey! I didn't know you were staying at this hotel also" I say. I don't know why, but I feel slightly awkward walking into Pierre like this. "Well, it's not like we talk much anymore" Pierre says, looking kinda sad. "Yeah. Sorry. How was your evening?" I ask, trying to lighten the mood. "Pretty boring. I worked out and played some games with Yuki at his hotel room" he says. Yuki is his teammate at Alfa Tauri. "What about your night? Did you guys have fun?" Pierre asks. Shit. I can't tell him I went out with all of his friends. "Uh, well.."

"Don't worry, I saw the instagram stories. No need to hide" he jokes, forcing a smile. "Sorry, I didn't know you were here also."

"On a race week? Sure you didn't" he says while giving me a wink, trying to sound funny. But fails horribly. "I would have invited you Pierre, I mean it when I say I didn't think about it" I say. It's the truth. I still see Pierre as a friend, but I know Lando doesn't like it when I hang out with him. Which is bullshit by the way.

"It's fine. I know you would" Pierre says, "I just miss hanging out with you guys." Oh god. "I'm so sorry" I say, not knowing what else to say

"Ready?" Lando asks when he gets back. "Oh hey Pierre" Lando says, wrapping his arm around my shoulders. Pierre looks at Lando his arm, but acts like he doesn't notice it. I take a slight step forward, so Lando's arm falls off of my shoulders. "I'll see you guys around. Glad to see you're doing ok, Mia" he looks genuine. "See ya" I say, quickly stepping into the elevator. I push the button to our floor.

Once the doors close, I can't help but roll my eyes at Lando. "What?" he asks, acting all innocent. "You didn't need to rub it in like that."

"Rub what in?" Lando asks. "That we're together!" As soon as I say it, I realize this is what he wanted to hear. A big grin appears on his face. "Oh shut up" I laugh. Lando pulls me in for a hug. We stand there in silence, just enjoying the moment. It's weird, a couple of weeks ago I was laying in bed by myself. Wondering when I fucked it all up so bad. And then, how quickly it went bad, it eventually went good again. Max said that every time someone asked Lando about us, he just said he needed to give me some time. That I needed to get used to the idea of us. He never gave up hope.

"Next time you're going to invite him" I say when we step out of the elevator. "I'm not" Lando argues, suddenly sounding very British. "Yes. You are. It's not up to discussion" I say, turning the corner. "Maybe i'd like to discuss it" Lando jokes. "He's your friend Lando. You can't just stop talking to him over one little argument" I say. "One little argument? The guy is in love with my girlfriend!"

"Was, was in love with your girlfriend" I clarify. "I'm not going to invite him Mia" Lando says, clearly he made up his mind.

"Ok, that's fine. Suit yourself. I'll hang out with Pierre myself then."

"Ugh, fine. I'll invite him" Lando says, holding his hotel door open for me. Looking like a kid who has been told he can't have anymore candy. "Thank you" I say, quickly giving him a kiss on his cheek.

When I wake up the next morning it takes me a short moment to figure out where I am. Oh yeah, that's right. I went back with Lando last night. I actually told Max I'd stay at his room, but he didn't think so. Turned out he was right. I hate when that happens.

"Stop staring at me" I say, feeling Lando's eyes on me. "I'm not" he argues. I move over to his side and lay my head on his chest. "Well good thing we can" he says. "You're a liar, you have meetings in about.." I look at my watch, "two hours."

"Hmm" Lando says. "What to do in two hours?"
