Before I know it it's Thursday again and i'm already a couple days back in school. I get to finish a couple courses, which is cool. But that also means my time here nears the end. I feel like I have barely seen Milan while i'm here. But i'll make sure to change that this weekend, since my dad is coming. Lando doesn't have to race this week, he has other work things. He wanted to come and meet my dad, but I don't really know how things are between us now so I told him to go home. We left things really weird, which I can't stop thinking about. I almost felt like he was hiding something. Lando wouldn't tell me why he left so sudden after we hooked up, I get angry just thinking about it.
The school bell gets me out of my thoughts. I look at my watch and see I have time to get back to the appartement, drop my stuff and then I have to head to the airport. I have two classes tomorrow, so my dad will have to entertain himself then.
About an hour later I sit outside, in front of the airport. I'm on the lookout for my dad, so I can quickly hide the cigarette i'm smoking when he comes near. My phone rings. Kelly is facetime-ing me. "He Kel, what's up?" I say when I answer, "you're not Kelly" I immediately say when Max his face pops up. "Yeah, my phone is charging, but I wanted to ask, auch!" Max yells when I hear a slap, "i'm sorry, WE wanted to ask you if you're ready for your dad to come" Max says while rolling his eyes. Kelly comes in front of the camera a bit so I see she's also there. I sigh, "yup, as ready as one who hasn't had a normal conversation with their dad in over two years can be" I say sarcastic. "It'll be fine, you'll see" Max says.
"You know smoking kills right?" I look up and see the last person I want to see, Noah. He grabs the cigarette out of my mouth, throws it on the ground and stumps on it with his feet. I gasp for air and feel my phone slide out of my hands. I hear Max saying something, but he's on the ground right now. Noah picks it up and ends the call. "Yeah, you're dad had to take one flight later, but he thought it would be nice to surprise you, so he invited me. Fun, right?" Noah says. "It's defenitly a surprise" I stammer. I take a deep breath. "Why are you here Noah?"
"To see you, you idiot! Haven't I made it clear that I would visit you soon?"
"Haven't I made it clear I never want to see you again?" Noah grabs my arm firmly. "Don't be such a tough girl because we are in public" he says while squeezing tighter. "Now, be a good girl and show me where i'm staying tonight" he says while pushing me in front of him. I quickly bend down to grab my phone. I see I have two missed calls from Kelly. God, I hope they saw it was Noah.
"What time does my dad arrive?" I ask when we walk into the hotel. There's no fricking way i'm showing Noah where I live. Well, maybe my dad gave him my adres already, but I hope not. "In about two hours, so we have time" Noah says with a smirk on his face, godd this guy gives me the creeps. I nod. We check in at the hotel desk and get the room key.
My phone rings while we stand in the elevator. I quickly look at my screen and see it's Lando. I put my phone away. "Answer him" Noah says. "No, it's not important" I say. "I said, answer him" Noah orders, he steps forward.
"Hi" I say when I answer the phone, not looking away from Noah. I try to put the sound down, in the hope Noah doesn't hear. "How are you?" Lando asks. "Fine."
"Can you facetime?" Lando's voice sounds weird. "No, not right now. I'll call you later" I say. Lando doesn't respond before I end the call. "Trouble in paradise?" Noah asks laughing. When the elevator doors open I don't know how fast to get out. Being with him in such a small space gives me the chills. "That's what you wanted right?"
Noah suddenly turns around. "Oh babe, i'm just looking out for you" he says while stroking my face. When I lean back Noah laughs. "So, here's your room, i'll see you later" I say, but I don't get very far before he gets ahold of my arm. "Where do you think you're going? You're supposed to show me around, remember?" Noah opens his hotel door and I walk in after him. I just stand there while he unpacks. Thinking about all the ways I can get the hell out of here.
"Do you want to relax for a minute? I can get us some drinks?" I ask. Noah lays down on the bed. "Sure, i'll have a pepsi please" he says, weirdly smiling at me. Fucking creep. "Sure, i'll be right back" I say, trying not to look to eager to get out of the room. "Oh, and Mia?" Fuck fuck, he knows what i'm doing. "Yeah?" I say when I turn around. "Some ice would be nice" Noah says. I nod and turn around. Once I close the door behind my I start running towards the staircase. The elevator might be too slow, because he for sure is coming to find me once he notices i'm gone for too long. My heart is beating in my throat when I sprint down the stairs. When i'm almost at the last step I trip over my own feet and fall the last few steps. I don't even look to see if i'm hurting, I keep running. People at the reception give me some weird looks. When I get outside I give myself a short moment to breathe before I continue running. I have to get out of here.
