Chapter 92 Silenced (Backlight)

Everyone gasped at the new information. "No, please don't!" (Y/n) covered her ears. "You angels are the reason why (Y/n) died all those years ago!" Vox glared. "I wanted to show you all, but I know the video would be too disturbing to see, but..." Vox snapped his fingers as an audio could be heard. And all everyone could hear was (Y/n)'s final screams back on earth.

Everyone gasped at hearing (Y/n)'s voice screaming in pain from her death. "The Radio Demon couldn't save her because he was trapped here during Extermination Day! Those monsters let her die because she was born a (L/n) witch!" Vox announced.

"(Y/n)?" Charlie looked at (Y/n) with concern. (Y/n) flew down as tears fell from her eyes. "Is this true? I tried to do everything right when I was alive, and it was for nothing?" (Y/n) questioned. "(Y/n)! Don't listen to him!" Trooper tells out. "Yeah! Vox is trying to get into your head!" Isabella added. The rest of her friends tried to shout out, but (Y/n) couldn't hear them. All she could hear was the rapid beating of her heart.

Tempest, however, continued to stare at Apollo and Artemis. Glenn tried to shake her out of it. "Temp? Temp? Tempest?! What's wrong with you?!" Tempest slowly pointed at Apollo and Artemis. "W-W-W-". Trooper then joined in shaking her. "Spit it out, girl!" Tempest took a deep breath. "WITCH HUNTERS!!!"

(Y/n) turns towards the guardian siblings. "Witch hunters?" Apollo quickly raised his hands. "We could explain!"

"Please, we would all love to hear it!" Vox smirked. "We were indeed witch hunters, but we're also the first winners to be guardian angels." Artemis tried to explain. "Oh, really? Then why didn't you protect (Y/n) when she was alive? And why does her little friend know about you?" Vox questioned. Tempest glared at the two guardians as she slowly put her hand to her neck. "They hanged me...They hanged me and a few others of the coven!" Tempest teared up.

"Now I understand! You didn't protect (Y/n) because she's a witch. You allowed an innocent girl to have a living hell back on earth! You basically killed her by not doing anything!" Vox shouts out. The crowd yells out in anger.

"You monsters!"

"You murdered those kids!"

"How could you do such a thing!?"

(Y/n) looked up at the angels. Emily was the only one to look her in the eyes.  "What did I even do? Was it because I was born a (L/n)?" (Y/n) questioned Emily as her black tears streamed down. Emily frowned as hug the young demoness. "No! It's not like that! Please believe us, (Y/n)!"

Suddenly, Vox's cables wrapped around (Y/n) and brought him to her. She didn't struggle as she was placed in the center of the stage. "Hey! Get your hands off my best friend!" Shannon yelled out. "Best friend? Isn't that cute?" Vox taunts. (Y/n) had black tears streaming from her eyes as she tried to calm herself down, and Vox's hand slowly went on her shoulder. Once he placed his hand on her shoulder, a few cables dug into her skull. She groans in pain as her memories are displayed on the screen. "Look what happened on (Y/n)'s first Extermination Day!"

(Y/n)'s groans in pain, and her eyes landed on the screen. Her eyes widen at the lost memories she had. The screen showed a handful of (Y/n)'s people getting killed by the Exorcists. They were about to kill Marshal if (Y/n) hadn't distracted them. She used her fire to grab their attention. (Y/n) yelled at them to chase after her while the rest of her people got to safety. (Y/n) flew as fast as she could, but the Exorcists were on her tail. She tried to lose them by flying through obstacles, but Lute, being on the Exorcists group at the time, threw her sword at (Y/n). Lute's sword slashed (Y/n)'s back. (Y/n) screamed in pain as she crashed down. (Y/n) struggled to get up, but Alastor appeared beside her on time. He quickly used his shadow magic to teleport themselves away before the Exorcists could get them. Finding a safe spot, Alastor allowed (Y/n) to try to heal herself. Unfortunately, (Y/n) was injured with an angelic weapon, which caused her body to go into shock. All (Y/n) could hear was Alastor shouting her name before everything went black. She woke up to find herself in Husk's care.
