Everyone continued to stare at the angelic guests. Tempest was more focused on Apollo and Artemis. Her eyes widened in fear, and her knees were shaking. Emily finally broke the silence. She smiled at everyone. "Uh... hello."
"Oh, my God! They're here to silence me!" Vox hugged his throne in fear. Then the confetti went off as the crowd gasped.
"No, no, no, no, no! We're here to apologize." Emily clarified. "We are sorry." Sera added.
Vox stood up from his throne as his dancers stepped back. "Oh! Oh, really? You're sorry? For what exactly?" He questioned. "For... everything." Sera bowed her head slightly. "For allowing the extermination of your people." Emily added.
"Oh, just that? And what do you have here?" Vox noticed the gift baskets the angels brought with them. "Are those... gift baskets?" He begins to laugh. "No- wait, wait, wait, wait-You--You are apologizing for genocide with gift baskets?" He laughs more.
"Uh, they have assorted taffies in them. Like, really good taffies." Abel tried to lighten the mood. "I don't think he cares about that, dude." Renn whispered to Abel.
"Oh, you hear that, folk? These angels think our lives are worth 'really good taffies'." Vox used his cables to lower himself back on the stage. "That's what a sinner's soul is worth to Heaven, huh?"
This caused the crowd to begin booing the angels.
"I don't like that at all! No! That doesn't sit right with me! No!"
"No, I-- That's not--" Emily tried to explain. "Emily?" Charlie got worried. "Is she okay?" (Y/n) gasped Shannon as her best friend gave her a worried look back.
"Tell us all the real reason you're here. You are here to flaunt your power in front of us because you can't stand that Hell managed to land a pretty damn big hit on you, didn't we?" Vox question. This caused the crowd to cheer on. Lute was angered by this and approached him, with Hala following. "How dare you, fucking demonic filth?" Lute glared. "You shouldn't be talking, you demonic waste of space!" Hala added. Vox just smirked at them. Artemis quickly grabbed Hala. "Lute! Hala! Get your assess back here!" She pushed Hala back with the others. "You both are just making it worse!" Apollo yelled at them. Emily grabbed hold of Lute. "No, that's not it at all. We wanted to apologize. What we did was wrong!"
"Again with the apology. After everything Heaven did to us? Why would any of us forgive you?" Vox's questions had angered the crowd more.
"No! Why would we even forgive you?"
"Yeah, get the fuck out of here!"
"Why would we forgive you?"
"That's not what we do in Hell. Yeah, what he said."
"Wowie wow. A lot of negativity here." Abel said nervously. "It's Hell, buddy. Of course, they had every right to be angry." Renn turned to his friend.
"Hollow, vapid words, mocking us with trinkets, thinking that could ever make up for our fallen sinner brethren. Taunting us with how little we matter to them!" Vox exclaimed. The crowd cheered louder for him.
"They think we don't matter? I'm madder than I thought I could be!"
"We matter! We matter! We matter!"
"That's not--" Emily tried to speak up, but Vox continued. "Do you know how many sinners died in each extermination? Thousands." The screen behind him shows multiple images of sinners being killed in every extermination.
"What...?" Emily was shocked to see the images. Abel and Kordelia looked terrified by the gruesome scenes. Apollo and Artemis were in shock while Sera looked down in shame. Renn was the only one angered by the images because he now sees how hard his family had to survive those terrible days. Lute and Hala only smirked in satisfaction at how the Extermination was.
"Is...I-Is that really what you go through?!" Shannon asked with a trembling tone. "Yeah. I lost good people to Extermination Day." (Y/n) glares at the images as Jeremy and Julie covered their faces into her side. So they won't see the terrifying images. "No, not the pictures. Stop- That's not what this is!" Charlie begged.
"First, Lucifer threatens us. Now this?" Vox used his powers to show images of Lucifer before turning back towards the angels. "Wait, what? Dad?" Charlie turned to find her dad behind everyone. He tried to sneak away as he whispered. "You do not see me. I am magical--"
"Dad?!" Charlie yelled as Lucifer stopped in his tracks. Vox tries to hold in a laugh. "I'm not here. You're dreaming. This is a dream... Bye." Lucifer runs off.
"Well, we think you are full of shit! Hell will rise!" Vox shouts as he uses his cables to rise. The crowd cheered for him louder.
"Yeah! Hell will rise! Hell will rise! Hell will rise! Hell will rise!"
Charlie gasped as she tried to calm everyone down. "Stop! Please, just back up. Okay, everybody- stop, please."
"Will you idiots just chill out?! They're not here to fight!!!" (Y/n) shouts, but no one would listen. "(Y/n), I'm getting scared!" Julie cried. "I want to go to Papa Renn!" Jeremy held tightly to (Y/n). "Please stop! We don't want to fight!" Shannon begged. "I-- I don't—- We don't-- I--" Emily was scared to speak up. Sera glared at the crowd. "Please! We just want to apologize!" Kordelia tried to calm everyone down, but it didn't work.
Lute, Hala, Apollo, and Artemis had their hands on their weapons, ready to attack if it got worse. Renn quickly got in front of Abel and Kordelia. "Oh, gosh. Geez, this isn't going how we wanted at all." Abel was more afraid of the angry crowd.
Getting angry at the crowd, Sera shouted and unleashed her powers. "Enough!" The light blinded the crowd. Renn flew to his children as they hugged him tight. Kordelia shielded Shannon and (Y/n) from the blinding light. Vox just smirked as everything was going according to plan. Emily's eyes widen as Sera slowly transformed into her full angelic form. "Sinners like you are the reason I allowed for the extermination in the first place. Power-hungry and violent."
"Hey, genius! You just fell for his trap!" (Y/n) shouts at Sera, but it was too late. Vox grins at Sera's confession. "This angel admits it!" He pointed at Sera. "She called the extermination to silence the sinners speaking out, empowering each other. You did it to keep us down." Then he begins to sing.
Well, we are not gonna be kept down anymore
Consider this a declaration of holy war!
I've woken up the people to the lies you angels tell
Vox sang out loud that this is the beginning of their war. He smirked as the sinners turned around, glaring at the angels with hatred. They begin approaching the angels, as Sera's eyes widen.
When we pay you a visit, we won't be bringing baskets
We'll be bringing decimation that'll put you in caskets
I'll show you what it means to be
The motherfucking king of Hell!
Vox used his powers to change the video to a sinner killing an exorcist. Abel and Emily cowered in fear. Renn puts his arms in front to protect them and his children. Who were holding onto him in fear. (Y/n) glared at the sinners as she stood in front of Kordelia and Shannon. Charlie looked at Vox in shock at his words. With his cables, Vox rose with the lights pointing at him.
Cause I'm the furor! I'm immense!
I am the avatar of your consequence
I'm your omega! I'm the flood
I am the nightmare you made when you spilled our blood!
Sera reverts to her humanoid form as she stares at Vox with shock. Shok.Wav woke up and flew behind his owner. Vox then used his cables and holographs to grow wings from the back. Lute and Hala glared at the Overlord while Apollo and Artemis stared in shock with their mouths open.
So cower and hide, find a rope you can swing from
Go say your goodbyes to your lives
To your kingdom!
Vox's face partially turned full demon as he finished singing. With Shok.Wav looming over, menacing.
Terrified, the angels open a portal. They were about to flee, but the two sharks that (Y/n) created for Vox pushed them away from the portal. They growled at the angels. "Oh, I forgot about them." (Y/n) whispered.
"I don't think you angels want to miss this! It's also time to expose what you did over thirty years ago!" Vox announced. "Your Extermination on June 9, 1989, caused (Y/n)'s death back on Earth!"
