Back inside Heaven's court, Sera came back in with Sir Pentious. "I have made my choice. Lute." Sera turned to Lute. "Yes, Seraphim." Lute stood tall. Hala followed her lead. "We have less than a day before the forces of Hell attack. I have no choice. Prepare the troops." Sera commanded. Lute lets out a dark smile. "It will be my pleasure."
Abel begins to panic. "Oh god! I'M NOT READY FOR THIS!!!" He whimpers. "Are you kidding?!" Renn growled.
"Let's go, Hala." Lute turns to Hala. "Yes, ma'am!" Hala saluted. They both rush out. "Sera, please, no!" Emily begged.
"And tell them to stand by." Sera gave the real order. Lute and Hala stop dead in their tracks. "Whoa!" Apollo and Artemis whistled. "Emily, you will have the remainder of our time to try and resolve things peacefully." Sera turned to her sister. "Really?" Emily smiled. Sir Pentious and Kordelia smiled with her. "What?!" Lute yelled. "Seriously?!" Hala pulled at her hair. Renn flew towards Lute. "Ha! In your face, you crazy ass, hypocritical bitch!!!" Abel was relieved to hear Sera's plan. "Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you."
"I'm done letting fear guide my decisions. You are the one that has always held out hope for Charlie and her ways." Sera spoke. Emily turned to her, and Sera held Emily's hand. "Go. Share that hope with the rest of Hell. I want to believe in them. But I know I believe in you."
Emily smiled at Sera and hugged her. "Thank you, Sera." Lute and Hala, from behind them, angrily clenched their fists. Emily lets go and turns towards Renn and Kordelia. "I need them both to come along with me. They can help."
"We'd be honored, Emily." Kordelia gave her a warm smile. "If we're going to Charlie. Let me get Toothless. We need all the help we can get." Kordelia held out her communication jewel. "I'll call my husband. After all, we need as much help to save our kids from that madman."
At the Hazbin Hotel. Charlie was using a paper bag to calm herself from having a panic attack. KeeKee and Razzle were with her as they were concerned for her.
"Move all that over there. Let's make sure everything's secure. Upstairs and downstairs." Vaggie was instructing the others to create barricades around the hotel. "Let's get a move on. Let's go, go, go, go, go. This place has to survive a war. Let's go, let's go."
Baxter was welding a metal plate to the door. Cherri tried to stop him. "Don't weld that, you little shit. Angel and (Y/n) are still out there." Husk joined in. "We need to go get them. They're right in the middle of what's coming." Baxter took off his welding mask. "There is not enough time to mount a successful rescue operation and prepare the hotel's defenses. Logic dictates we need to take care of those of us still here."
Charlie pulls out her phone and tries to call Lilith. "Ugh, come on, Mom. Come on. Pick up the phone. Please. Please pick up the phone. Pick up the phone." Then her phone gets a call, and she quickly answers it. "Mom?"
"Hey there, princess. Been a minute since we had time to chat. You free?" It was actually Vox who called her.
"Wait, Vox? How could you do this? You... You absolute monster!" Charlie exclaimed angrily.
"Whoa! Whoa! No need to get hysterical. I just wanted to invite you to this little shindig I'm throwing tomorrow. You know, before the whole "hostile takeover of Heaven" thing." Vix stood up from his seat. "Look, I know you and I haven't always seen eye to eye. But at the end of the day, we're working towards the same thing, you know?" Vox continues to talk with Shok.Wav swimming behind him. "A better future for the people of Hell. Your dad was resistant at first, but he'll be there. So why don't you come join us so we can...bury the hatchet?"
"Dad? What did you do to him?" Charlie questioned with fear.
"I'll take that as a yes! There'll be a piece of cake with your name on it. Toodles." Vox ends the call.
