Sa mga nag babasa po ng story na ito, paramdam kayo hehehe. Kasi parang wala, para di muna ako mag update if wala pa nag babasa, medyo loaded po kasi ako sa work now. Pinipilit ko lang makapag update para sa mga sumusunod. Pero kung wala pa naman nag babasa papahinga ko muna cia hehe..

Magiliw na nginitian ni Aster ang client na nakatitig sa kanya, medyo naiilang siya sa pag titig nito pero hindi siya nagpahalata, they are here for business kaya naman itinuon niya ang pansin sa dapat gawin. Katulad ng meeting nila kahapon with the board, all of the needed documents ready for the presentation, thanks to Trina who set up everything in that room, dahil tatlo lang naman sila ay hindi na siya gumamit ng projector at iniharap na lang sa mga kasama ang kanyang laptop and precedes the presentation. Nang mag simula siya ay agad namang naging seryoso ang lalaki, gayon pa man ay hindi nito inaalis ang mata sa kanya, making her feel a little uncomfortable. Nang matapos siya ay agad na nag bitaw ng mga katanungan ang lalaki na mabilis naman niyang nasasagot, Edric was also there to assist her, akala niya ay mananahimik nalang ito buong meeting, but he did help her kahit parang labag sa loob nito dahil sa sobrang kaseryosohan nito habang nag sasalita, hindi niya alam kung masyado lang ba siyang nagiging sensitive pero tila may kakaiba siyang nararamdaman sa dalawang lalaking kasama, it’s like they are in a competition or something.
 
“I’m impressed” nakangiting turan ng client nila ng sa wakas ay matapos ang pag tatanong nito. “I did not expect this from a newbie, I mean no offense, but you really did exceed my expectations today” dugtong pa nito dahilan upang lihim siyang mag diwang.
 
“I’m happy to hear that you like our presentation Mr. Galvez, our company aims to be the best in this industry, so, disappointing a client has never been part of the option” magalang niyang tugon sa sinabi nito.
 
“Enough of formality, you may call me Gavin. I should warn you though, because of what you did, my expectation are now heighten, so make sure that your company will not disappoint me”
 
“Certainly” mabilis niyang tugon saka tumayo at inilahad ang kamay upang makipag kamay sa lalaki, she wanted to end the conversation as she is not comfortable with the way he looks at her.  Tumayo naman ito at inabot ang nakalahad niyang palad, nag kamay silang dalawa pero hindi agad nito binitawan ang kanyang kamay. Pasimple niya iyong binawi pero hinigpitan nito ang pagkakahawak doon.  Akmang hihilahin ulit niya ang kamay ng may mahigpit na humawak sa kanyang pulsuhan saka malakas na hinatak ang kanyang palad dahilan upang mabitawan siya ng lalaki. Napatingala siya sa madilim na mukha ni Edric na tila ba ano mang oras ay handa itong manuntok.
 
“My father’s assistant, Trina, will be calling you for updates Mr. Galvez” Seryoso nitong turan sabay abot ng kamay sa lalaki, napailing nalang si Mr. Galvez pero nakangiti parin nitong tinanggap ang pakikipag kamay ni Edric.
 
“I hope to meet you outside of work matter Ms. Walker” nakangiti parin nitong turan ng muling bumaling sa kanya, dahil hindi niya alam ang isasagot dito ay minabuti na lang niyang ngumiti. Maya maya pa ay nag simula na itong mag lakad patungo sa pinto at derederetsong lumabas doon. Siya naman ay agad na sininop ang dalang laptop at nag lakad narin palabas ng conference room, makikipag kita pa siya sa mga managers mamaya, they need to start doing the leg work now that the client already approved the presentation.
 
“You should not flirt with client just to get their approval” Napatigil siya sa tangkang pag bukas ng pinto ng biglang mag salita ang lalaki sa likod niya, napakunot ang noo niya na muling humarap sa lalaki.
 
“And what do mean by that?” tanong niya dito.
 
“You are flirting with him, Mr. Galvez, ganyan ba ang itinuro sa inyo kung paano kayo makakapag close ng deal o makakakuha ng approval?” matalim ang mga mata nitong nakatitig sa kanya habang sinasabi ang mga salitang iyon making her feel pain in her heart. Malungkot siyang ngumiti sa lalaki, not wanting to cry in front of him, even if she feel like crying now. If it was her dad, sigurado siyang napuri nanaman siya nito, but why Edric can't do that? Instead, ay iniinsulto pa nito ang pagkatao niya.
 
“Is that what you think I did to get his approval?” tanong niya dito.
 
“You could have said no, when he said he wish to meet you outside work matters, it's clear that he is asking you out and you just smile sweetly at him” irritable nitong turan, halos lumabas na ang mga litid nito sa leeg, kung bakit ganun nalang ang reaction nito sa pag ngiti niya kay Mr. Galvez ay hindi na niya gusto pang isipin.  
 
“If smiling is flirting, are you suggesting I stop smiling at everyone as it might be construed flirting on my side?”  nakataas ang kilay niyang tanong dito.
 
“Don’t give me that bullshit Aster, it is clear that he likes you!”
 
“So? As far as I’m concerned Edric, I did not flirt with Mr. Galvez, I did what I must do and it’s to present the project and answer all his questions the best that I can, I smiled to cover my nervousness and because I was trying to be polite, that’s all. I appreciate you, being here and helping me out with the presentation but that doesn't mean you have the right to insult me, and if we decided to meet outside of work matter, I believe it is no longer your business, so, if you'll excuse me, may meeting pa tayo mamaya sa mga managers, I need to ready myself because unlike you, I'm still learning and I don't have time for your tantrums” derederetso niyang turan saka akmang muling bubuksan ang pinto upang lumabas ng hawakan siya nito sa braso stopping her from opening the door.
 
“How many times have I told you to keep your distance from men Aster” Malalim ang tinig nitong turan, habang hawak parin siya sa braso. Muli niyang ibinaling ang paningin sa seryoso nitong mukha saka iyon ibinaba sa kamay nitong nakahawak sa kanyang braso, she had enough of his drama, kaya naman matalim rin niyang sinalubong ang mga mata nito.
 
“First” sabi niya saka hinawakan ang kamay nitong nakahawak sa braso niya upang tanggalin iyon doon, ng maalis na niya ang kamay nito ay inilapat niya ang palad sa dibdib nito at nag lakad paabante upang itulak ito, saka siya bumalik sa dating pwesto sa likod ng pinto, It’s time to put this man on his place just like how he always did to her.
 
“Keep your 2-meters distance from me” sabi niya ng muling mag salubong ang kanilang mga mata. “Second, I am no longer the teen Aster you used to boss around, you left me! Remember? I’m a grown woman now Edric, in case you haven’t noticed it yet. Third, I can date who ever I want, whenever I want and it’s not your fucking business, so stop acting like an asshole! This is my life, and I can do whatever I want to do with it, and you have nothing to do with it. You want me to stay away from you right? That’s why you didn’t see me in the past 5 years like I’m not your sister, the same reason you want me to keep this ridiculous 2-meters distance from you like I have a contagious disease, so why don’t you do that yourself? Keep your distance from me and stop meddling with my personal business, you are here to train me to manage this company and not to tell me what to do with my personal life.” Matalim niyang turan, making sure that this man understand what she want to tell him, before finally walking out of the that room and going back to her office, leaving him behind not wanting to care for him, though her heart wants her to go back and take back what she just said to him, specially when she saw pain cross his beautiful eyes.
 
EDRIC took a deep breath while looking at the closed door, napahawak siya sa lamesa at marahang napaupo sa upuang naroon bago napa hilamos sa kanyang mukha. She is mad, he is sure of that, aaminin niyang nagulat siya sa ipinakitang katapangan ng babae because she was never like that before, she even cussed at him, siguro ay nagalit talaga ito sa kanya.
 
Kahit nag aalala dahil galit sa kanya ang babae ay hindi pa rin niya maiwasan ang mapangiti, seeing the changes in her. Tama ito, she is now a grown woman, he can see that very clearly, she grew even more beautiful, she did really great with the presentation a while ago, their father was right, she can be a great leader someday, even he was impressed with how she confidently speak in front of the client, she never stutter nor lose her momentum even after being boldly scrutinized by that Galvez.  She was able to keep her cool and slayed the presentation. Uminit lang talaga ang ulo niya because that Gavin is checking her out, it’s very obvious with how he looked at her, he is actually surprised na may naintindihan pala ito sa mga ipinaliwanag ng babae kanina, dahil wala na halos itong ginawa kundi ang titigan ang cleavage ni Aster, na parang walang pakialam na nag patuloy lang sa ginagawa. Well he can't blame Gavin, Aster is really a beauty and she just looked perfect with her red outfit, kahit siya ay hindi napigilan ang mamangha at ma-distract ng makita niya ito kanina, sabagay, wala naman ng bago doon, palagi naman siyang namamangha sa babae. He can't believe that it only takes one glance at her perfect beauty and all of his hard work in the past 5 years will be gone. Yes, he spent 5 years just to forget her and stop himself from loving her, refraining himself to see her even if his heart is dying inside, begging him for one more glance at her beauty, but he stopped himself thinking it’s for the best. He did everything he can, from fucking different women almost every night, burying himself with tons of work, meeting his friends going out, everything, just to distract himself so he would not think of her again. And then he thought he succeeded, he even had a serious relationship in those five years, but it only took him once to glance at her beautiful face and he is back at it again, in that deep hell hole. Then he realized that he hadn't moved on a bit, that he missed her so badly he wanted to hug and kiss her the moment he saw her, good thing their father was there to keep him sane.
 
But things were not where they used to be, so many things have changed, his innocent Aster have grown to be fierce, she proved it to him when she is putting him in place, and it was painful, to be put in place. He used to tell her both in words and in action to stay away from him, he knew that somehow, he is hurting her, nakikita naman niya iyon sa mata ng babae sa tuwing iiwasan niya ito, but he only want to protect her from him. And now, ito na ang gumawa niyon sa kanya, hindi niya mapigilan ang makadama ng sakit, parang pinipiga ang puso niya, gusto niyang ipagsigawan dito na nag seselos siya, na gusto niya sa kanya lang ito pero hindi pwede, sigurado siyang matatakot nanaman ito katulad ng takot na nakita niya sa mga mata nito ng gabing halikan niya ang babae. Fate must be enjoying his misery, making him taste a bit of joy and freedom, and when he is enjoying it already, fate will take it back and slap him real hard with reality. Mapakla siyang napangiti at muling bumuga ng hangin, saka tumayo at inayos ang sarili, he can’t sulk in here all day, he must work and maybe, convince that feisty woman not to go on a date with that Gavin or any other man. The fact that he is in love with his sister is already excruciating, but seeing and knowing that she went out on a date with another man is a whole new level of torture for him, and he can only take too much, so call him selfish and asshole but he really can’t bare to see her with another man.
