Eve Romano used to have a life in Italy. She had a nice apartment, a great boyfriend, a nice job and was truly happy there. That was until everything started to crumble before her which forced her to move back home to Scotland with only the memories...
Half of this city turning their lights on Like half of this city has an idea Cars slowly passing right down on main street Don't keep on driving, let me say something
There's nothing wrong with a little space But not right now, don't leave There's nothing wrong with a little time But for the memories, for the good things Don't leave
The stars in the night sky, the distance between them By the time that you'd reach them, they would be gone But the distance between us is half of this city Don't keep on driving, let me say something
There's nothing wrong with a little space But not right now, don't leave There's nothing wrong with a little time, a little space For the memories, for the good things Turn around now, turn around Don't leave me now

"Eve? Where are you?" I hear Damiano's worried voice call from inside the apartment. I was out on the balcony at three in the morning having a cigarette. I don't know why but I just couldn't sleep and it had me all restless so I thought a smoke might help.
"I'm out here" I respond somewhat quietly so I wasn't to wake up any of our neighbours. Seconds later the door slides open further and Damiano walks out in his shorter boxers with confusion on his face.
"Perché sei sveglio?" He frowns.(Why are you awake?) He walks over and sits down in the seat next to me around the circular table.
"Non riuscivo a dormire" I sigh, stubbing out the last of my cigarette. (I couldn't sleep) "Perché sei sveglio?"
"Sentivo che non eri accanto a me, così mi alzai" He smiles softly at me, running a hand through my hair. (I felt you weren't next to me, so I got up)
"Mi dispiace di averti svegliato." I apologize, leaning my head down on his shoulder. (I'm sorry I woke you up)
"Ehi, non preoccuparti" He kisses the top of my head and takes my hand. (Hey, don't worry)"Perché non andiamo a fare un giro in macchina? Ti stancano sempre" He suggest sweetly. (Why don't we go for a drive? They always tire you)
A drive did sound really good right now... Plus I didn't have anything productive to do later on today so there was nothing to wake up for or make myself stay awake for. Why the hell not.
"Sì, mi piacerebbe" I nod my head. (Yeah, I'd love to)
So after a two hour and a half plane ride I had finally arrived in London. It was crazy, I'd never been here before even though Scotland wasn't a far drive whatsoever. I had just gone to collect my two suitcases and was now rolling them to the waiting part of the airport. My new manager had messaged me earlier on this morning to let me know she was picking me up at the airport. I was so fucking nervous, what could I even say to her? Usually I'm such a confident person but when it comes to a situation I'm really not familiar with... I don't know what to do or say.
I glance around to see the airport was crowded with people waiting on loved ones or friends with cute little signs and presents. The thing was I had no clue what this woman looked like. I make my way through the crowds, glancing around to see if I could find her and just when I get through the entire crowd I hear someone shout my name. I turn around to see a very beautiful woman with nice curly hair make her way towards me.
